Happy for the sequel, but there’s nothing really special about it

I miss them. The prequel was lighter and tender compared to this sequel. It is more focused on the deeper connection between the couple’s individuality and their love for their craft. They went outside the box of delivering a trope of two celebrities getting caught dating by the public. This is commendable; however, the scenarios were too slow, which created a gap between the couple.

What happened to my dear Shirasaki? I have adored him from the first season, but he suddenly felt too focused on himself. I understand that it is one of his flaws when he is being driven by his role. I feel pity for Hayama too. Living under one roof but being separated by their own rules was painful. The couple just needs to communicate and comprehend each other more often. The most disappointing part is that we have fewer romantic scenes in their dating era compared to their flirting era.

The additional character in the story was unexpectedly weak. I love his backstory of losing his roles to Shirasaki, but I know they can create a way better spice-up challenge for the couple. Despite the disappointments, I still enjoyed this show on an average level. The confirmation of the side couple having their own sequel was the cherry on top. The OSTs and the arrangement of the opening were the best too.

It is just sweet that Fan Xiao is so caring towards Shu Lang after they became an official couple. He even does things that Shu Lang used to do with his ex-boyfriend, like Fan Xiao waiting so long for Shu Lang to end his dinner meeting and pick him up, as well as cooking dishes for Shu Lang. And they keep kissing each other in every single scene, haha they're so in love. The effort of learning how to cook for his boyfriend is just so lovely. Fan Xiao is so possessive haha. Even get jealous of Shu Lang's younger brother. But omg. I didn't expect that Shu Lang had a very tragic backstory. From being homeless to being adopted by a caring mom, and then she died, with his brother hating him so much. Love the way Fan Xiao teaches the younger brother a lesson by offering him help to settle his wrong actions. In the end, Fan Xiao wins and keeps his dashing photos on every angle of Shu Lang's apartment

We got Watarai's POV. It reminds me of Kurosawa from Cherry Magic and how he's good-looking face also creates a boundary within himself and how others see him as a person. And then, Watarai fell in love with Hioki because Hioki complimented his personality over looks. All of this Watarai POV about having to talk with Hioki is just so cute!!

The confession scene was so lovely. Fan Xiao literally confessed almost everything to his You Shu Lang just to validate his feelings for him. Of course, he filtered out those uncanny things he did to get the heart of his man. They are finally stepping up their relationship. And that intensity level of their kiss was paused because Fan Xiao is not used to being dominated. It was gooood. And then Shu Lang voluntarily decided to be the one being dominated was expectedly cute. Yet, the plot twist is that Fan Xiao is a virgin omg. Anyway, I'm happy that they are officially lovebirds! Once Fan Xiao had learned everything in bed that Shu Lang taught him, he never took a break. Poor Shu Lang haha.

So the reason why the title is To My Shore is Fan Xiao's reflection of love, comfort, and reason for living by means of having You Shu Lang by his side. From Fan Xiao's traumatic experience with the sea that caused the death of his mother, he later met Shu Lang, who became his person to go to and helped him face the trauma that had haunted him for decades. That was just a beautiful way of naming the title of the story.

Romance in winter: The artistic love and life of the youth

This is a piece of art. The combination of artistry and BL romance was so appealing. I love the drawings as much as I love the story. On top of that, the main couple is so handsome and really brings the youthful vibes around them. The chemistry had an impact, too.

It can be dramatic and eventually lead to a mellow approach. Both of them have a distinctive and dejected reality that they are slowly trying to overcome throughout the story. With this factor, they share the romantic love that they badly needed for someone to overcome their sorrowful experiences in life. They became each other’s light and comfort.

The tension and how they built the characters’ conflict were good. Aside from the MC, consider Turtle, who started as a brat but eventually developed into a good supporting role in the show. One of the main highlights for me is how they feature an artist with a visual difficulty in identifying colors, yet still striving to create pieces of art, now and then.

It was somehow a sad ending, with the Dad sending his son to Russia, and the other guy not finishing the admission exam due to the injury from the gang leader. After the scene where both of them walk through their own paths, the scene where they got together after a year was just an alternate ending.

Nevertheless, I enjoy watching this show and adore how both Qi Lu and Qin Xiao embodied the life quote of “Do what we love! And love who we want to love!” Beautiful love story.

Well. This is good. I'm invested!
The director getting addicted to the cigarette and matches is somehow a metaphor of him slowly being attached to the President.

Major change from a fancy opening choreography song to a punk rock song with our three major casts. love it!
On EP01, Natsu and Takehara's side story was super duper cute. They have that chemistry, and both of them are super good-looking for each other.

Anyone know Takehara's real name or Insta account?

EP5 is Watarai's "being friends wth Hioki" agenda. The consistency of making me fall in love EP by EP was so great. Feeding on sweet fruit, hugging the tiny Hioki while watching their school trip highlights, being jealous, and Watarai being impatient to hug Hioki so tightly were all so romantic. It eventually leads him to ask Hioki for a kiss, haha. This boy is so in love, and I feel so in love too. Hioki's inner dialogue was so adorable. I screamed and giggled a lot from this EP. Love it!

A filler-feel sequel

Mob and his never-ending attempt to run away from the BL world will always be a fun and chaotic season. Yet, I am disappointed with the third season, as the age-gap story was the main contributing factor. I just didn’t like it.

As usual, the opening song was an icon. They retained the whole sing-and-dance trademark from previous seasons. I like it. The environment where you live, surrounded by BL couples everywhere you go, with their cliche romantic scenes, was absolutely a great atmosphere for a BL fan. They still bring out their signature dramatic and comedic execution, which makes me laugh a lot.

Toujou is so handsome, especially during the Halloween party EP. The composition of short little stories featuring different men in this sequel was half good and half bad. A few good stories were about the physical contact arc, the scent arc, and the cinderella arc. The rest was either average or lame.

I miss the old feeling of getting fascinated by Kikuchi’s character. Fortunately, he came back at the end, but faced a young man as his love rival for Mob’s heart. I want him to end up with Mob in the final season.
