Only the third drama of Tian xi wei for me but i believe she is one of those few actors who make their chemistyr with any actor look so good. in the NEW LIFE BEGINS she was fab opposite Bai Jing Ting and in MOONLIT REUNION she was so good opposite Xu kai and for this one , i believe its going to be her best on screen chemistry.

Sometimes a woman doesnt want love and reading the novel makes you believe how she is better off a man in her life. Qimin guy is the best example of a morally gray character someone above mentioned. He is terrifying and he makes a lot of sin in the story but at the end one starts feeling his backstory and his reasons.

If they take the NOVEL route entirely it would be so interesting to watch because Ahem Ahem , ML again helps her assigning the two guards we saw in last episodes with Xie surnames, these guys live in the house assigned to her with Mrs Zhao and Ning Ning and the FL joins them whenever she gets a weekly day off (Oh btw, ML also joins her sometimes and this time he really follows Mrs Zhao's words...haha ). tbh the novel is just so good, i truly hope they are going to follow it entirely because so far the adaptation is really good.

Read the novel if you can, (english translations are not so good because at times you have your instincts to understand what should be the right tranlations)not only it explains everything better but about the FLs aspirations, goal and career, it adresses it. She does courses to boost her career as a teacher, is constantly trying to be at par with him :)
Novel readers would agree it could have atleast 30 episodes to explain the plot and story better. the 2008 recession, beijing olympic, IPHONE arrival... all of it were huge things in those days along with the early 2000 mentions the writer does.
Also we seem to have a new wave of CUTE but superpowered MLs who clean cook and do everything homely even after a nearly 18 hours shift and that too a torturous work shift but as JQX s character was , the novel insists he is still so bad at cooking (once in the middle of night he blanches or boils salad or greens for her ;)) But yes for me it was a beautiful story , i can now imagine the beautiful scenes in novel with these two in my mind.
