Yeah, that is a really disturbing aspect. How come that in 8 years nobody have noticed that so mane ppl are gone? And someone just kept paying the guards just to stay there and not let anyone in or out.. well, we just have to wit and see.
how's the drama so far? is the politics very messy?
The thing is, we don't really know yet π π So far there are so many questions and so little answers, better wait for more episodes to come out, or you'll be stuck here theorizing like the rest of us, haha ππ
I kinda skipped around so some parts I don't understand. So why were Ye Li and her family on a mountain? How did…
It is not completely revealed yet. All we know so far is that there was some kind of power struggle after previous emperor's demise. The scholars of Lishan academy opposed one of the power striving parties and got backlash from them. Around the same time Ye Li's father sent her mother back to Lishan mountain, cuz that is where her father (and Ye Li's grandfather) lived. We don't know what the reason was, but might be connected to that power struggle. Apparently the mother died on the road, but shortly after Ye Li got to the mountain, the massacre happened. We don't know how and what happened exactly, but we do know that Ye Li with some accomplices is now plotting revenge on ppl responsible for the incident, there are 4 of them (cuz she got 4 straw dolls in ep 1.)
In china, if you have adapted a drama from a novel, it's easier to pass censorship. Otherwise it may take years…
Oh, so that's the case? I was wondering why there are so many Cdramas that are supposed to be adapted from the novels, but have nothing to do with the original? But it's because novels had already passed the censorship... Thanks for explaining ^_^
why do i feel like ye liβs uncle is her biological father? He cares for her more than anyone in the ye family…
Dunno about that, but he is quite fun character to watch. And the painting... I think it was some kind of erotics, cuz the woman was dressed a bit frivolous with open belly and all.
Ye li said her mother is dead , but why doesnt she hallucinate her mother but instead all those people of Lishan…
Because massacre at Lishan mountain is what gave her PTSD or smth and made her delusional. But her mother passed before that. If got this correctly it was during the attack at their carriage showed in a flashback, when ML saved her.
The drama is so different from the novel, but Iβm enjoying it just as much. In todayβs episode, when Ye Li…
But she does have an alive accomplice. The guy who writes her secret notes and also spilled the substance on the dude that got on fire. Isn't he one of the survivors too?
guys...can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with lishan academy bc that place is just freaky
Well, almost everybody died there in attack 8 years ago. A few survivors, including FL, are now seeking revenge on those who's responsible for the attack.
I wonder, how much is Ye Li aware of reality? I mean, we saw that she is on he vengeance path and all. So, clearly, she does know there was an attack. But the way she talks about her friends from Lishan as if they are still there seems way too genuine. Is it just such a good act, or is she really in so deep level of denial?
Are the people who gave 1 star ratings to yet to air episodes for real? What is wrong with you?
Some thing are just beyond comprehension. I recently saw a 10 star review for the drama that isn't out yet. Not a single episode aired, but already a masterpiece for someone, apparently... So I just stopped being surprised with all the ratings bullshit.
Maybe it's too early to judge, but I'm still trying to figure out what the cousin setup actually adds to the story. So…
The only explanation I can come up with - probably it was needed to explain why was FL dropped at this place specifically. Cuz it couldn't have been just random people. Family friends would be great, but one could imagine it'd be too easy to find her among a close circle. Plus lots of them would want to distance themselves from all that scandal and wouldn't take her in. So it should be someone distant, but still reliable, who would actually take care of the girl and her safety. Something like distant relatives, but not exactly relatives cuz then the romance line would be awkward. π€·
Or maybe they really were cousins in the first draft of the story. Then the editor said that it won't do and their relations have to be changed. And this how we ended up with this weird construction, go figure, hahaha πππ
