That's the point, her sisters do NOT acknowledge her as a tea genius, and think that the are just as capable, but never had a chance to prove themselves. Therefore they feel overshadowed, mistreated and act the way they act.
Frankly speaking, there is some truth in that... if all sisters received proper training and guidance, and were entrusted with their own part of responsibilities, there would be no ground for such quarrels.

100% accurate! She just hates the guts of the Rong family in general, and kinda wants them to suffer like she and her mother did. And also wants to strengthen her positions, so no one could mistreat her anymore.

I believe it's a combination of reasons:
First, she simply is a kind hearted person, and leaving someone to die in the street is too cruel for her, especially if that someone is begging for help.
Second, he is an investigator in the city known for it's corruption. The fact that someone tried to get rid of him kind of implies that he is not a part of that corruption chain and was actually trying to do his job. And this is something she admires, an several times she even says that she's hoping for a capable official to show up in town and make things right.
Third, well it's a romance drama and all the visual & audio effects were hinting that she just liked his appearance, ok?
And finally, he's a new person in town, she doesn't really know what to expect from him, so she wanted to watch him (and his cute face, since it's a romance drama) for a while, and then decide is he a friend or foe...
Something like that.

I guess we just don't know yet 🤷‍♀️

Well, for now we have no other way but to simply trust the parents. All we can do is raise our children according to our believes and values, and let other parents do the same thing.

It started 10 years ago when Mrs. Yang (now the nanny of Rong family's 6th daughter, but it’s a secret) left her husband Wei Ke Jian after a great fight, and disappeared. Yang family used this occasion to make a move on Wei family, and accused Wei Ke Jian for murdering Mrs. Yang, however there was no proof of her death at this point. The incident stirred a huge conflict between families with physical confrontation and lots of victims as a result.

After a wile (a year or so) a body was found. It was hard to identify it, but Yang family claimed that clothes and some jewels that was with the body belonged Mrs. Yang. Based on that Wei Ke Jian was convicted for murder and went to jail.
However the experts that examined the body (or what was left of it) seemed to have different opinions on whether it really belonged to Mrs. Yang. One of the experts even claimed that it was a male’s body.

Wei family was furious with such mistreatment, and requested for re-examination of the case. Somehow it got to the Emperor himself, who demanded for case to be re-opened. And this is when even more strange things started to happen: officials who got involved in the matter either lost their jobs, died or were imprisoned. It was obvious that lots of bribery and protection from people in power were involved, therefore no one wanted to continue with the investigation and the case was left unresolved. But the Wei family went bankrupt due to the multiple trial charges and reputational losses.

So when new inspector Lu appeared in town and pissed off some wrong people, this case was handed to him, so he would drown in it just like many others before him. However it didn’t go exactly as expected…

To sum up: it was staged by Yang family to bring down Wei family. To make it happen some people in power were also involved. And solving the case - means unmasking crimes of influential people, which is dangerous. Something like that..

Hey guys, can someone help me understand where did all the Rong sister's parent go, why none of them is around?
As far as I know Old Lady Rong had a daughter and 3 sons. The daughter got married, but against Rong traditions, she entered her husband's family. But what happened with sons? Did they all displease grandma Rong and were cast away or what? And what about their wives? Ok, RSB's mother passed away, what's with the others?
I somehow didn't pay attention to this and now I'm puzzled. 😅

I think it was the steward, because he didn't want LJL and RSB to get married.
And yes, I also like 5th sisters character. I so don't want her to become a villain, hope all sisters will find a way to work together for family's prosperity.

Yeah, I still wanna know what is the deal with the meat shop and a body pit from ep1. Like who established them, why are officials covering for them, why they exist in the first place?

Hmm.. that is an interesting idea, but the timing is a bit strange. I mean, she could have done it any time for the last 10 years and frame grandmother for murder. It would be convincing since the letter was against having Mrs. Liang in the household. This would stir a huge discord between RSB and Mrs. Rong early on. And Yun Shu would just have to stir the pot from time to time to make matters worse for RSB and strengthen her own position.
But because it happened only after the trial, and after Mrs. Liang left the Rong mansion, I believe someone from outside is to blame. Like that old man with a bird, who is now tying all loose ends.
Or for instance YBL, who wants to put FL in distress so he could be the one consoling her. 😅
