I actually meant the female lead because she was just trying to survive but both "masters" want to use her. But I see your point with the other woman too.

I think she was in a recent drama (that I didnt watch) where she was not a villain.

I actually thought that this would be rated higher. Is it because the ML doesnt have that pretty boy vibe that seems popular these days? Or because its a slow burn? I am really enjoying the story.

Honestly realistic in terms of the Emperor being her son and her puppet for many years. He wouldnt want to be or seem unfilial so I am not surprised. Not happy but I jad already accepted it.

Oh na. That was hust a regular disease but because of the Empress Dowager giving power to the corrupt officials who besieged the mountain years prior and blocked food, herbs etc, they couldnt make make medicine and couldnt recover.

If you feel sorry for this man, dont forget that he didnt feel sorry for the Lingshan Academy members who died on their way back to the city when he was young neither did he feel bad slaughtering all the common people that he did.

Maybe if Mo Jingli had stirred up the common people who he takes for granted by finding evidence against Empress Dowager, he could have gotten what he wanted but he cares so very little for everyone except himself that he didnt think of doing things another way. BA

Women like Ye Ying PMO!!! You have a man telling yoi to your face how he is a calculating person in love with someone else and about to start a rebellion, and STILL you are fighting for him? Fighting for what exactly? Ugh i had really hoped that they were going to give her a better storyline.

I view it as a slice of life drama with some revenge meaning it can contain anywhere from some romance to slow daily activities etc. So yea you are right. For me it was perfect because recently if a show is too dramatic I cant keep watching. But if people were looking for pure action/ revenge, they might be disappointed with the pacing.

Sorry I am still at 38. 🤷‍♀️
