The fact that he can not really defy his parents especially his mother is a big problem already. I don't mind that he's a painter, the only problem is he's incompetent and blames other people for it. I have gotten to episode 13. I think he'd be a good father, but not a good husband. He only started changing because of the birth if his child, not because of Xioafang. If they end up together, something is going to happen in their future and he's going to tell her to change again. He can be present in the child's life, but they should not end up together.
I started this drama because it's not like anything you'd see in a cdrama. I'm going to be really disappointed if she ends up with xiaowei. Xiaowei is prideful, insecure, incompetent, he does not even stand up for the person he claims to love, and he runs away from his problems. For that type of person, no matter how rich or accomplished they become, they are never going to be happy. He cares too much about what people say. Xiaowei is never going to change so I don't see any reason why they should end up together. It was game over when he blamed her for not painting her, saying she seduced him when the truth was that he was incompetent then ran away. I also knew he was never going to change when his parents were arguing about his painting tuition fee and he left because of the people around.

It's like saying just because two people like each other, one of them can force the other to be intimate even if they don't want it or because they started it. NO IS NO.
I don't understand why people are hyping the 2nd couple. He's threatening her. It may not look like it, but that us what he's doing. Did you really watch and understand perfect crown? Did you not see the way her dad treated her all along? I don't know about the other dramas you mentioned, but in perfect crown, her father never showed her any love, blames her for his wife dying and told her bad things had been happening in his family since she came. So, of course, she doesn't like her father. Mind you, he only started showing any form of care when the prince visited their house, she can only think her father was kind because he is trying to use the prince. I have to admit though, she wants his approval and care.

I already do not really like cdramas, they are very heavy handed on the editing, the acting is either too much or too little, not enough good actors, even the good actors are not good enough. Now, we're getting braces in historical drama. Every new day, cdramas just give me reasons to like them less.
