For people who don't know, this drama was supposed to air back in May but it was sabotaged by a rival actor's fandom (they used a fake voice recording of 2FL to say she said some anti china statements and therefor they called this drama and CY anti china and launched a massive hate train and stopped the drama from airing)
LKX (2fl) went to the police and proved her innocence in court and the production team sued several members of that fandom with criminal charges. During this process that took several months, there was complete radio silence, no mention of the drama anywhere.. So i dont know where you saw all the hype and promotions for fsh for the past several months..

Can you believe this??? One of cy dramas is finally getting a little bit of promotion after years (mind you, only 3 days before airing) and there are actually people here saying it's getting too much hyped😶

They usually start preheating a week before airdate regardless of other dramas that are airing. Their favorites even get announced earlier.

I understand your concern but CY's drama never used to get hyped. We couldn't get high ranking hot searches even for MLC (Because they are bought and HR never spends money on these things for cy)
Even for this drama, they started warm up only 3 days before broadcast, they announced the airdate 2 days prior. Compare this to the treatment other actors on his level get. It's still less than what others get. I still think they should have started promotions sooner.
About dolls and other merches, it's because this drama was suppoosed to air in May and all the merches were prepared since then but the brands couldnt sell them because of what happened, imagine they have to sell summer clothes in autumn. Everyone is anxious because of these circumstances and want to get their merches out as fast as possible. Iqiyi had made the dolls available for sale for weeks😂

The hype is due to CY. International fans might not know this but he has one of the biggets traffics in china and whatever he does gets really really hyped. It's just that he usually disappears when he's not filming so we haven't really seen him for 5 months. His fans really miss him so they're going all out.Those big news agencies always post about CY, it's not just this drama, they post about him too whenever he does something.

There is no hype for this drama, it doesn't even have a proper team. The only hype is due to Cheng Yi being the ML and he has really high commercial value so a lot of brands were pulled in for him.
Noone expects anything ground breaking from this drama, it's even the least intimidating cy upcoming drama. CY fans are just super excited because we're finally getting one of his dramas after waiting for so long

Because a lot of chinese drmaa names can't be correctly translated into eng and still hold the original meaning or be catchy enough so often they choose a different eng name for dramas. It's not a translation, it's a different name.
