So I watched because JCW is one of my top 4 actors (I can’t put them in order lol)
Everyone was amazing in it and I remember liking WHJ in Bad and Crazy.
I only found it a hard watch because I really don’t like graphic violence and especially torture, so between subtitles and some scenes I looked away lol.
But everything was perfect for the genre it was. Hope to see JCW in more light action series like Healer and K2 again.
I’m enjoying it but I did leave it to binge watch. I can’t stand one episode or 2 a week. I timed it only slightly off as I have to wait for the last episode.
Nearly every series these days definitely have way too many flashbacks. This is no exception but I’m not sure why others aren’t liking it. Maybe I’m easy to please. It’s a nice easy watch with a little of everything. Perhaps I enjoyed it more because I waited to watch it all in one go.
I watched all episodes so far and it is slow-burn. Personally, I was expecting the same pace as in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,…
Thank you for your reply. I think I’ll have to go with my gut and drop it for now. I couldn’t get into Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha or any of the other small town slow burn romance series. I do love this whole cast too which is why I was hesitant to drop it.
That’s what I love about KDramas. So much variety for everyone. Also depends on your mood at the time. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it.
I’ve just finished watching episode 3. I only started watching because of JCW. Just curious if the pace and storyline stay the same. Is it just a light hearted slow burn rom com.
I started watching My Demon too early (got impatient and couldn’t wait anymore) but realised it’s a show I don’t want to slow down on so tried to watch so thing else to slow it down.
I totally understand some people love these types of series, I tend to usually avoid them. I need more drama, action, or mystery. In all honesty if slow rom coms aren’t my thing, despite my love for JCW should I give up now?
I really enjoyed this series. All the actors were perfect for their roles.
I was also grateful it was 12 episodes and not 16. That was because it didn’t have that dragged out boring feeling between episodes 12-15 I normally experience. (Although technically each episode was a little longer than normal). I wish more shows did 12 episodes.
Probably fair to say I’m only watching this for the eye candy that is Meen. Also only being 8 episodes is keeping me watching. It’s not the worst thing I’ve watched but I can see the potential it could have been. Thankfully only 2 episodes left and not another 8.
Wow some harsh ratings. It’s been a long time since I saw the original so I didn’t have any comparisons in my mind when I watched this.
Sometimes you just need an easy fun show to watch. This is what this was. Don’t take it too seriously. I enjoyed it for a light watch after having watching heavy series before.
Looking forward to seeing more of BWS. He showed good range as an actor.
I enjoyed this series but I feel the write up and especially the first few episodes started on a different trajectory. It was definitely more comedic and I was enjoying the whole Magic / ghost storyline. It then got serious from there and I wish they’d somehow kept the lightheartedness a bit more. It’s almost like they dropped whole Magic storyline and judging by the poster you’d expect it to keep with that.
So it is still good but don’t expect it to be like the first few episodes.
In the novel charlie works for tony. Way does too. Way dies. Babe crashes and charlie fakes his own death to help…
Thanks for this description. I was only watching for Pavel but I don’t think this storyline is going to interest me. I’d never heard of omegaverse before and not sure I can be bothered investing time in it. Hope those that are interested enjoy it. I found this first episode so confusing. At least I know why now.
Currently watching Awaken and came here to see if she was related to Park Bo Gum. She looks like an exact female version of him. Both are beautiful so it’s a compliment.
Mixed reviews from everyone again, very typical for a BL. Personally I liked it and gave it an 8. I think the beginning was a bit harder to get into but I had a break until all the episodes were available then binged the second half. Glad I did. Easy to watch.
Will it be explained why Yi didn't marry Diao for 3 years? I mean on ep 4 he just announced "Let's get married"…
I’m not sure if it exactly explains those 3 years. But Yi comes to realise (and also through chats with his dad) you have to communicate with the person you love. Yi’s dad wasn’t affectionate or warm for the majority of the series and so his son turned out like him. But after the accident he realised all the time he didn’t spend with Diao he wasn’t open enough. He thought leaving Diao to do what he wanted was love, where as Diao just wanted to spend time with him.

It wasn’t slow and draggy but wasn’t too fast either. I wanted to watch the next episode the whole series.
I think everyone played their roles perfectly. Loved the twist and turns of most of the main players, very exciting.
Now to pick the next series.
