I think the biggest issue is that aside from the marriage the plot isnt really engaging. The politics are barely there so people dont have that much patience for more push and pull since its half way through the drama. if you compare it to key of pheonix heart political game btn the characters is so intense that the romance takes a back foot. Here its the centre stage and viewers have a limit to how push and pull they can endure

True she doesnt have to bow down to CP but at the same time there really isnt anyone better to help her achieve her goals. In this case there is no logical reason to break off the engagement

@AleksandraSucur atleast this drama only had 2 cliche breakups and the first one I feel both their reactions were understandable. This drama has tried to stay away from tropes like instead of ml spending 5eps jealous of love rival he was like let's test him.
