I think bias from other naive characters plays a huge part but i dont want to sound mean but cdrama writes always such characters annoying especially beacuse they dont use common sense 100% and the high pitched voices dont help. if you compare Ran Ran to other similar character arch types she is actually competent and doesnt need shifu or gege to save her everytime like how she defeated the skeleton snake alone and when subduing madam wu. For me as long the naive childish character can actually defend herself i am okay with it

I understand that. infact very few people in Jiang Yu situation will defend themselves but also very few people after seeing the notebook and video will give Jiang Yu the befit of a doubt

I believe you owe it to yourself to protect yourself as much as possible . Jiang Yu should have strongly denied the bullying even if no one believed he still should have protected himself. His friends characterization is that of a cold person so there is nothing wrong with his reactions he wants to help his friend but he doesnt know how. Your right about his father cause unless in future episodes they show he is a cold person he should have noticed something. I think such shows need to be slow to effectively sell the themes they problem with this series is they dont pick the right moments to be slow. I feel like they move on too quickly when showing ml and fl trauma. Maybe its me but i am not feeling any emotion when i see the ml and fl suffering compared to other shows with similar themes

A helmet is useless when it comes to a mine explosion. Its there for other reasons such as bullets and small rubble in that situation she was in it was not helpful and she had resolved to die

the ml and fl are one of the few cdrama cps that make you feel like a third wheel in their world

Wang Ye isnt a main character, this site displays cast members based on billing(which is independent to relevance to the plot of the show)

For me I am tired of redeemable villains so I like that Fu ling is just plain evil and crazy as for Chong Zhao he has been annoying for the whole show. My problem with him is that he has no plans he keeps saying he will protect fl then goes ahead and does nothing throughout the drama he is only reacting atleat scheme to get what you want
