First of all, being Kind doesn’t mean one should trust everybody or trust easily. Second, being brave doesn’t exclude being scared.

Now, with that being said:

Little Jane has NEVER been afraid of P’Jane. People like Put, Ohm (Little Jane’s teammate at episode 1), or the guy P’Jane meets at episode 3 are visibly scared and intimidated by P’Jane; you can see it in their body language when they interacted with him.

Little Jane never shows that.

But what Little Jane is scared of, however, is trusting P’Jane and ending up disappointed. That’s confirmed in one side story (on YouTube), and it’s the actual core of his hesitation.

With the rumors piling up and P’Jane own mysteriousness on top of that, Little Jane’s doubt actually makes sense. Honestly, I’d probably have reacted the same way in real life and just walked away. My one real criticism is that I wish Little Jane had asked P’Jane directly instead of going along with what everyone else was saying. But that’s a flaw in judgment, not a lack of kindness.

And I think it’s worth remembering Little Jane did try, more than once. He didn’t want to listen to the rumors. He had a fight with his friend Put when he defended P’Jane, he confronted Tee “The Money Embezzler” reminding him that he’s in prison because of his own wrongdoings. Little Jane wasn’t just passively absorbing rumors; he was pulled in different directions while people called him stupid for being easily manipulated by P’Jane and defending him.

As for that girl scene: Little Jane is the one who actually steps in to help her, while everyone else just stands there whispering and filming on their phones. He backs off not because he stops caring, but because the girl turns on him mid-rescue, blaming P’Jane for her situation. That’s what makes Little Jane stop; not indifference, but the accusation.

And in the follow-up scene with P’Jane, Little Jane doesn’t casually accept that the girl “deserves” her beating. If you take into consideration the story that's actually being presented to you and not the one you’re creating in your head, you’ll see that Little Jane looks shaken by P’Jane’s answer. If anything, that reaction is another element that deepens his doubts about P’Jane.

The same instinct shows up consistently:
— Little Jane stepping in to help Ohm, making him stand up and then taking the ball from P’Jane
— Little Jane stepping in to help the girl, totally ignoring the fact that he can be hurt by that violent ex-boyfriend
— Little Jane stepping in to help his whole family, protecting them from the consequence of the little brother’s gambling mess

That’s a pattern of selflessness, not an isolated moment.

On the “medicine and toy aren’t enough” point: that’s measuring the gesture by YOUR standards, not P’JANE’s standards.

P’Jane says it himself: people only ever come to him wanting something, never just giving. That’s exactly why the toy and the care about his migraine meant so much to him. Not because of what they were, but because of what they represented. Little Jane wasn’t trying to win P’Jane over with something impressive; he was showing he genuinely cared, and P’Jane received it as exactly that.

It’s also worth noting P’Jane was already curious about Little Jane way before any of that. From their very first interaction on the field in episode 1, he was intrigued by someone who wasn’t afraid of him. Then when P’Jane tried to make things easy for him (with a deal), Little Jane surprised him again by saying he’d rather try hard and risk disappointment than have things handed to him. That’s what pulled P’Jane in, long before the medicine or the cute toy ever came into it.

And given that this reads as P’Jane first love (based on how he explains the flower meaning during their Valentine’s date), none of this is shallow attachment on his side either.

So if the argument is that Little Jane isn’t kind, brave, selfless, caring, the question I'm asking to you is: what exactly would make him cruel, a coward, selfish, indifferent? Because I don’t see any evidence pointing that way.

I honestly don't understand how one can see all of this and still say Little Jane is not Kind, Brave, Selfless and Caring. They're doing this on purpose at this point, I don't see other explanation. Or maybe we don't have the same definition for these words.

I don't know how they were supposed to show it for you to "feel" it. But it's clearly shown in the series from episode 1 to episode 4. I could give all the examples but I'm afraid the comment will be too long (you can ask them if you want tho). Other than that, this is not about You, Me or the other viewers. This is about P'JANE and how HE feels. Again, for somebody LIKE HIM, the smallest gesture of genuine care can be enough and it was (episodes 1 & 2 show us that). And also, it will be great to see and understand Little Jane in his entirety as a character. Do not have a preconceive idea of how a kind, caring, selfless and brave character is supposed to be and project that into him.

What do people mean when they say they don't understand why Big Jane wants Little Jane. Talking about Little Jane barely has anything. It didn't occur to you That Big Jane doesn't give a fuck about that since he himself already has EVERYTHING? Why wouldn't he go for Little Jane? the very person who showed genuine care for him, the very person who wasn't afraid of him, the very person who didn't initially went to him because he wanted something... It actually makes sense for Big Jane to go for someone who gives him things he can't get easily, like genuine care. I don't know how you guys watch these series, but maybe try doing it with your braincells activated, because y'all are not thinking at all. Another situation of people watching series as they want it to be instead of watching it as IT IS!!! At this point just write your own fanfic and stop asking dumb questions!!!

I'm always annoyed by the people that say "oh this character deserves better/someone else". NO! The character deserves what he wants, and this goes for P'Jane AND Little Jane!

Honestly, I've always on P'Jane side. Like you said, who cares who's the green flag? I just want Little Jane with P'Jane lol

I don't think Put ever liked Little Jane, I believe there is something else behind his "concern". P'Dan is way too suspicious for me to see whatever he's doing with Little Jane as just "sweet and good". Bro talks about being in love with Little Jane for a long time, but little Jane knows about it only now? Bro talks about being boyfriends and all while he knows Little Jane is still emotionally vulnerable? Bro thought it was a great idea to publicly expose Little Jane's photos without his consent and put a price on them? Honestly I'm getting the same vibe I had when Big Jane came hard at Little Jane to be his boyfriend. It's creepy. However I prefer Little Jane being with Big Jane because at least Big Jane doesn't try to hide who he is and he truly does love Little Jane. I can't 100% say the same thing about P'Dan.

I thought about that, then I said to myself maybe it's because P'Jane is who he is and people, even teachers, just let him do whatever...

how are you comparing two shows that have nothing to do with one another? Dancing is not the main focus here...

I didn't read the novel and I don't plan to do so, so I'm just focused on the series and with what I saw, Little Jane looked like he absolutely DID NOT want to kiss P'Dan (understandable, since he kind of regretted putting himself in the situation of boyfriend in the first place). And now that Little Jane made the contract with Big Jane, considering Big Jane's conditions, I don't know how Little Jane will end up kissing P'Dan, unless P'Dan does it by surprise...???

Dan and Put look sus to me too. With this episode I now know Put doesn't love Little Jane. he wanted Little Jane to break up with Big Jane, not because he loves him, but for another reason. Because if it was because of love, he would have been jealous of Little Jane being closer to P'Dan. And that reason is not simply because P'Jane is dangerous, if that was the case Put would have been against the fact that their girl friend (in episode 1) gives a present to P'Jane. what I mean is, Put would also have been against her getting close to P'Jane, since she's his friend also. But he didn't care. Their concern is for Little Jane specifically to not be with P'Jane. I'm starting to believe there is real hate/jealousy against P'Jane here.

The reason why Little Jane had doubts about Big Jane was because of the rumors. But with Dan, there is nothing that's being said. Those rumors triggered everything.
