Im only on episode 3. I’m not sure yet whether he knew his circumstances when he hired her, but guessing by his nonchalant act with how he selected her…I think he did. So my question is…wouldn’t have been easier to keep her safe by not hiring her? Secretly doing good for her and meeting her in two years?

Is this a boy love? I’m confused by the clips I’ve seen and the description? I haven’t started this yet, but I’m wondering if it’s a boy love or a spring is green type drama.
Can anyone suggest any other dramas with a similar feel to it? Especially the relationship dynamic. After watching Goblin again I went back to this and realized I’m just in the mood for romances that feel cozy. I can’t think of any, and I’m tired of the boys over flowers/mischievous kiss dynamic.
In the first few minutes the government suppresses the media to some extent. Then in real life the government tried to suppress the media so they could declare martial law. Does anyone else remember them postponing the show because of it? About midway?
Rewatching it makes that plot point a bit creepy to me.

Honestly…I’m relieved. I don’t mind a repentance story, but I don’t love when they pretend something isn’t as bad as it is. For a bit I thought they were trying to downplay the horrors of gang life.
might be "unserious" but him essentially kidnapping her, faking her backstory and acting like her partner…
I agree. Also…there’s this thing where I keep wondering if she had been a different person would he have killed her. Which… has me kind of…hesitant to like him.
I wouldn't call either of the male leads mean or toxic. One of them is a bit colder than the other but still kind…
I was hoping that was the case. I don’t mind cold or uninterested, but I prefer hostility to be more on a realistic level. To many times have I watched a show where the male lead tries or succeeds in crushing the female lead, acts a little cute, and is completely forgiven. If a show is going to go that route I want him to suffer trying to win her over. Or the female lead completely moving on and the male lead having to completely change before she will treat him with any familiarity. (If anyone knows of one like this I’m open for suggestions). I much prefer the way modern dramas are going. Either realistic in behavior, or having a realisitc reaction to the awful.
