I'm gonna join the sharing circle and talk about the scene that made me weep in this episode;) It was that sweet, playful moment when Jom was drawing Yai on the bed. That was like a brief parting of clouds on a dark stormy day. For a moment they were just being their unburdened selves. Happy. Free in love. And it made me acutely feel the approaching loss. I just can't accept that this openly loving, earnest and genuine Yai will lose his Jom for a lifetimeđ
This episode felt very much like a closing of a chapter. But I'm stubbornly keeping a ray of hope that they're gonna let Jom come back to the past in the end:) I do have a lot of faith in the writers of this drama, so I'm trying to convince myself the ending will be emotionally satisfying, one way or another.
Why not watch from the official yt channel? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=btHHL8fcT28&pp=ygUcaSBmZWVsIHlvdSBsaW5nZXIgaW4gdGhlIGFpcg%3D%3D
Sorry it didn't work. There are other browsers with built-in vpn or free VPN apps you can try but I don't know which would work for you. Let's hope it gets uploaded somewhere soon so you can join the cryfest;)
After rewatching a second time I kind of think I understand the ending and am convinced itâs actually a happy…
I was just looking up info about the poem on Chinese internet and stumbled upon this theory.
Honestly, it's quite convincing. This show has been so clever about suggesting things without outright showing them. Them taking that four characters out of the poem and immediately zooming in on the city gate with the name of the place. Then showing that small courtyard with a growing tree. Could totally suggest this is where Chang An is waiting for Wan Mei. Plus I rather like a redemption arc for Xing Fei.
Now I imagine them living happily in a small house surrounded by apricot trees:)
Just finished. This was such a visually mesmerising, intense, heart-rending tale. The plot was meandering in places but kept me completely immersed by the end. And the award for best tragic hero goes to Gong Zi<3 To me one of the most memorable characters in the whole dramaland.

My unobservant self just noticed there's a separate page for the uncut version?! Lol now I'm torn - should I rate both? Anyway, I've been watching uncut from ep1. That's the one I recommend!
Loved it !! This is the first time watching film and boooyy has the cutest smile . How did the villian know about…
His right-hand man saw it on crime scene photos. Then told him his niece(?) has that same doll and you can record sound with it. But it looked like they didn't know for sure if she recorded anything. I'd probably call that bluff if I were the villainđ€·
I had a lot of fun watching this show and def recommend it! even though there were aspects of the romance and plot points I didnât care for.
What I liked: -> Charnâs stylish psycho persona with that creepy af smile<3 -> Nawinâs ..well âŠeverything=D totally unexpected delight! -> Rose and Mayaâs power couple energy and charisma on screen. If they led a series Iâd definitely watch it. -> Grandma and the family moments. So wholesome<3 -> Tanâs misunderstood bad boy side story. Though I think they did him dirty by cutting out some key scenes from his romance.
What I didnât like: -> Fight choreography! Honestly, if you make one of your characters a pro in martial arts you have to pay extra attention to how it looks on screen. Otherwise it makes your production look silly. -> Charn&Tinn dynamics after they got together. Iâm all for acting childish or spoiled with your lover. Who else can you do that with? But it was way overdone here. It was like watching two kindergartners romancing each other. Cheese overdose. Didnât fit the mature characters and themes. -> Cartoonishly evil villain. That for me was the weakest part of the plot.
Don't tell me she's pregnant. Ughh leave our lesbians alone
Yeah, I'm also not too crazy about this plot twist. But I'm afraid you're right. The themes keep repeating in the two timelines, and in the present it looked like she wanted to share some news with Jom on the phone
I'm guessing there are 3 possible endings-Jom travels to ancient time like the book and meets Commander Yai and…
I'd prefer the third ending as well. I just wrote in another comment that it would hardly be a happy ending, if Khun Yai got to live out the rest of his life with such heartbreak. It's different with the book because you can imagine they're almost the same person. It wouldn't work like that on-screen. They'd need to be different people.
They better give us a full episode of future them together, otherwise I am gonna flip over. I will be super duper…
Personally, I hope they change it. The only truly happy ending I can see is the one where this pair of Jom & Yai get to live out their lives together in the 20th century, getting filthy rich off that land near Bangkok. From the perspective of a drama watcher who got invested in Khun Yai's happiness, the ending where he gets to spend the rest of his life without Jom would be bittersweet, to say the least.
