Wang Chen Peng is brilliant here….again. Someone give this man a full series, I’d be glued. His voice, his height, his love lorn expressions, his wonderfully big (but ridiculously cute) ears. 😂❤️ I enjoyed watching this one, but of course I like just about anything the ML stars in, he’s my vertical bias. The FL always keeps me captivated in her performances too. This one is angsty but cute. I love that no matter her harsh words or seemingly indifferent attitude towards him, the ML never gave up on the FL and he never let anyone come between them, even when frustrated. I’ll be watching this one again.

On After the Soul Swap Apr 23, 2025
I’ve watched quite a few soul swap storylines, but this one had me giggling nearly nonstop. The way Wang Yi Ran portrayed an internal female character (while walking around in his manly body and handsome face) had me rolling myself into a ball of laughing admiration. At somewhere around the 15-16 minute mark, he (as a she) delicately tries to hurl himself ( or herself, 😂) over a restaurant bench and I swear to God, I coughed from laughing so hard. This was a feel good rom-com. Totally rewatchable. It will not disappoint if you hit play. 🤣❤️

I was surprised this drama wasn't in the list so I searched high & low for drama info to submit as New Title.…
No, but if I ever see her in anything else, I’ll definitely be watching it (and it will likely go into my favorites.) 🫶

Title Second Life
I loved this one. One of the best transmigration into novel dramas I've seen 🔥🔥ML is Xiao Tai
Agreed, I usually avoid transmigration storylines, but this one was done really well. Had me laughing so loud in some of the scenes. The leads are definitely well matched.

The “morning after” scene had me cackling, he was in bed half shy, half terrified. 😂❤️ She’s awesome, I’d watch anything with either of them in it now.

Future viewers: this one is completely wack-a-doodle-do, and I enjoyed every crazy, fast paced, chaotic moment. 🤣 Leads are perfect and work well as a pairing. ML is a total stunner and FL is beautiful. But wait for it….she’s also a total badass, (and oh hallelujah, she actually comes with brains!) Villains and antagonists are really funny to watch in some of their scenes, they get schooled from the FL quite a few times due to her sharp wit. The comedic writing and acting is definitely worth the view, and the FL has some serious flirting ability. Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did, I’ll be rewatching for sure.

If you’re here wondering if this is worth watching: HELL YES! Brief synopsis: the leads have been antagonistic business rivals for a long time, they’ve been competitive against each other since they were very young kids. The show opens up with the FL attending a gathering and being congratulated on her successful career. While being toasted with cocktails by her colleagues, she gets very tipsy and flirty. The ML attends the gathering without an invitation and gets chastised by some of the partygoers for recently bankrupting his business. While this rumor isn’t even true, he doesn’t feel the need to clarify it to anyone and so the FL believes the bankruptcy rumor and she relishes in his supposed failure. Tipsy, she starts to verbally tease him and they have a stare-down with verbal banter. The tension is high because unbeknownst to the FL, (and despite all their antagonistic and competitive behavior,) the ML has secretly loved her ever since they were young kids. His feelings for her, coupled with her alcohol intake, lead them to spend the night together, much to the FL’s sober regret the next morning. 😂 Thus begins the ML’s journey to do everything that his love brain tells him to do in order to stay close to her, including pretending that he’s actually bankrupt. The comedy is on point, especially at the beginning and the acting is hysterically wonderful with both the leads. I swear that I laughed more while watching the opening 15 minutes of this one than I have while watching entire shows. This is a solid cast and you’ll be grinning, even when the ML acts ridiculous for love and all of his big (and little) white lies start to build in momentum and then spiral out of control and unravel. The FL is a total power house, admittedly she’s a bit blind to all his initial deceptions, but she’s so much fun to watch because her character starts out wonderfully bossy to him, shes’s extremely smart throughout and very direct. Watching these two play off each other was a total blast, especially during the first half. I would love to have been on the set during filming, I’ll bet the entire crew were all left in stitches. Not gonna lie, I came here for the ML, Wang Cheng Peng…he’s one of my absolute favorites, the man looks like he channels Clark Kent when wearing glasses, but when they come off, he’s all Superman. 😂❤️ Even though I’m a huge fan of the ML, this show totally sold me on the FL, Sheng Yi Jie. She’s so stunning and fun to watch. I’d definitely rewatch.

Another cute one where the FL is the bold, active chaser and flirt, I just adore her character. The ML is portrayed as hesitant and shy, he was great in his role too, what a match! They were so much fun to watch. Lastly, I always get a kick out of watching dramas where the executive assistant is privy to all the personal details about their boss and suffers second hand embarrassment. I was an assistant for over a decade and I did NOT get paid enough to know what I knew and to hear what I heard about my boss, he was perceived by the employees as stubborn and difficult. I once had to help dress him up in a hammerhead shark costume for an event and it goes down in history as the funniest moment of my career, this big, fierce guy looking like a meek middle schooler. Hats off to these dramas with personal assistants who are humorous and discreet. I’ll bet it’s hysterical filming some of these scenes.

Ummmm.. did anyone else notice around the 1 hour 38 mins timestamp, when dancing she kissed ml and the fl dress…
Confirmed that you’re correct, came here to see if anyone else noticed. How’d that ever get past censorship? 🤦🏻‍♀️

This one is CUTE! I’m not a fan of hidden identity, but I can forgive it in this instance because although it was initially used due to the ML doubting the FL’s intentions, her innocence was quickly discovered by him and he used his hidden identity as a means to protect her instead. He’s not abusive, he doesn’t gaslight her, and he’s smitten with her nearly right away. He doesn’t allow green teas to manipulate his time or energy and what few family members he has are pretty great too. FL is adorable, this character role suits her better than some of the others she’s played. I could watch these two leads interact with each other all day, 🫶

This was the most chaotic, unserious, wacky, hysterically funny and wildly inappropriate vertical drama that I’ve ever watched. It’s absolutely crazy pants, and I loved every insane moment of it. Prepare to laugh so hard you worry for your sanity and your voice box, because you’ll be howling at some scenes. The writers, actors, directors, stylists and camera crew must have had a total blast working on this one. The closing scenes had me wheezing. Just when you think you’ve seen it all….enjoy! 😂❤️

Title Love Actually Season 3 Spoiler
could you pls spoil me the couples
It’s my understanding that the first three couples I wrote about in the spoiler are still together, or at least they’re really great at being very close, wonderful friends. But my guess is that they’re still coupled up, they’ve been featured on each others socials, some fairly recently, in fact I just saw a short clip from Wang Zhen and Pamela, they were adorable. (If any other viewer has updated info about any of the couples, please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.) As for the last couple mentioned in the spoiler, I don’t believe they ever seriously dated, I haven’t heard otherwise on any media forums.

On Heart Pairing Mar 28, 2025
As much as I’m entertained and loving some of these cute interactions, I’ve been burned by dating shows before….(pointing my index finger and angry eye rolls at YOU, ‘My Sibling’s Romance.’) Heart Pairing is super fun to watch, but I will not be intentionally sailing any ships this time, I’m determined to just watch everything unfold amongst them all naturally and not judge any of the participants or eventual pairings. I’m just so grateful that there are still singles out there that are brave enough to put themselves on a forum like this for the world to see. Very endearing, I can’t imagine the pressure they must feel as they stumble or find success with relationships while navigating their way through shared cohabitation, all while under the watchful eyes and expectations of viewers. Hope we’re all mindful that they’re just normal, perfectly flawed human beings like the rest of us. 🫶

On Double Sided Girlfriend Mar 25, 2025
This one reminds me of a cheaper version of the Kdrama ‘Business Proposal’. Basically the FL goes on a blind date with a CEO and intentionally dresses a bit ridiculously, wears heavy makeup and acts over-the-top in an attempt to intentionally ruin the date with him. He’s not deterred and reluctantly gets her to agree to a fake relationship with him to stop his grandfather from setting him up on additional blind dates. Then coincidently she’s gets hired as her ‘regular self’ to be his secretary and chaos ensues as she frantically begins a life of juggling both her identities. The negatives are plenty in terms of production: the scenes start and end abruptly, the camera is terribly wobbly in some scenes, the sound quality is the worse I’ve heard yet on any vertical, and the subtitles are awful on most of the available links. Their chemistry is cute and I adore their attempt, but there’s no way I could rate this anything higher than 6.5.

On Waiting for You to Break Up Mar 25, 2025
This is the first time I’ve seen a Cdrama where the second ML is the one that acts as the green tea in the show and successfully wins over his girl, sweeping her far away from the ML. Some of his antics were absolutely priceless as he competes for her attention and love and annoys the ML at the same time. Antagonists get their serving of karma, pretty satisfying ending for all. Overall a pretty cute watch.

If you took a shot of tequila every time the word “divorce” was mentioned, you’d be catatonic at the halfway point and definitely deceased by the end. 😂 Seriously though, I love Zuo Yi, she’s so damn feisty in this, I never get bored watching her in her roles. I had a few good laughs but mostly pulled my hair out during this one. Still recommend though. 🤣
