The story seemed promising. It felt like it was going to be a mature romantic story. Well, with all of the time weaving, it slowed down the story immensely and I started getting bored by episode 3. Queue in the eye roll cliche tropes: jealous girlfriend (who I’m imagining will be problematic later on), memory loss (such a cop out), and I’m sure there’s more. I was hoping their original break up would be due to misunderstanding/miscommunication and so their encounter later on was really their second chance to fix their mistakes. With her amnesia, it’s like a new love story for her and it just takes away the specialness of what they had before. It’s not realistic. I want something a little more relatable. I didn’t like that it was so much about “fate.” I know. That’s totally in the synopsis. But that just takes away excitement because they’re fated to be together and you know they’ll end up together. It’s generic. It’s predictable. It’s not worth my time.
