Yes. Because at a point she was overwhelmed by the bullying to an extent where she takes the knife starts ripping her sheets and then later tries to sneak it into school with her. But since students are checked before entering the school she is unable to bring the knife with her. So in that episode they show her looking at the direction of the Wuyan library but don’t show further. (For a while this made me think that she had left the knife in the library and that ended up being the murder weapon 14 years ago). But turns out she had just temporarily hid it underground, and after listening to Duran Hongshan’s speech she happens to have changed her mind and throws it into the river
