I dont get why people keep saying the female leads are too strong. They cried a lot. I think people are simply used to faux-strong female leads. Watching so-called strong female leads in other dramas who are really weak was usually disappointing.
I also like how love isn't destiny but a choice or rather manipulating the other person to fall into your lap lol. It was very funny, so I do not get the lack of comedy thrown against it. It was a breath of fresh air to have a male lead who wasn't filthy rich or win the lottery and proceed to use money to solve all his problems.
Hahha I spent the first 10 minutes looking for Baba Fumika. As someone who has never seen her in anything before but was looking forward to her character due to the synopsis. I think we are all biased, it was easier for you to enjoy this as a fan of the lead actor. I watched it back in 2018 and enjoyed it but there is an issue: all the female cast members disappeared for the second half. Even bad acting can be entertaining, you know being so bad that it is good. I think if we lower expectations and look at dramas as entertainment instead of expecting masterpieces it becomes easier to enjoy. Easier said than done* though lol. I drop dramas a lot these days
