Still waiting for the last 4 to drop in the US 😖 why dont they release all VIP eps at the same time in all time zones? (not expecting an answer…venting!)
oh my goodness…Hu Yitian with long hair?? And smiling?? What a handsome man he is becoming. And, such a different character compared to many of his previous dramas. He’s doing well with this role - a young child that was repeatedly moved, rehected by his father for his new family, separated from his only friend because of another move, then his mother passing away and being stuck paying off her debt through the money from aoan shark abd seperated again from his childhood friend that he has cone to love because if that debt? His character deserves to be emotionless and reclusive, and even though thats how he is now in ep 18, he still radiates his desire and care for her. The personna he exemplifies starting in this episode should be a dramatic diversion once they are reunited. Some people think he is a bad actor, but to pull off the cold and determined man that life had turned his character into is proof that these typed of roles are where he shines - cold, emotionally deficient, while under that exterior is a very tender loving man.
Did he really get hate just for being good looking ?
yes. There was a post referring to him as a powder faced general and criticizing him for being good looking and saying basically that all Chinese soldiers look the same and do not have to resort to make up to be a good general. That was basically propaganda put on the Internet in order to create disillusionment with the entertainment industry and Zhang Linghe himself, as an actor.
I don't think I'm ever getting over LXX's crying face😭😭
He was very moving in that scene. And dancing with “her” during the iron fireworks show. Both showed his depth as an actor and how truly painful grief and seperation can affect people. And I couldnt stop crying…not just moist eyes, crying - because his characters pain was felt deeply.
Nowhere does it say that this is a rebirth; only those who have read the novel know.
I think sometimes people reference the novel because they try to explain the difference between the screen and the book. But, lose their intent in the explanation. I don’t think they reference the novel with the intent of confusion with the film version, but it sometimes comes across that way.
I often read the novel while I’m watching the drama because that helps to fill in gaps for me where my Mind questions what’s happening on screen, but I, myself, don’t always reference the novel unless it is a confusing scene and someone questions what is taking place.
Guys, make it a point to review & rate each episode; it helps increase the rating on MDL.
RATE IT, dint review untul you’ve seen the whole drama. That messes with the real numbers, and doing a review now before the drama is over will actually encourage people who come to deliberately damage the ratings of a view to post bad reviews ahead of time when they haven’t even watched a single episode.
am i the only one who doesn’t like the ml? no one in that drama deserves the fl tbh. the ml is very manipulative…
I dont see that at all. When did he manipulate her specifically? Are you referring to his court politics and cooperation with his teacher? That’s nothing new in any drama in this genre. He is cunning, a warrior of sorts, decisive, intentional and very much smitten with the FL where he makes up excuses to interact with her (which anyone I have ever met over my many years on this earth dies when they are interested. Like a peacock fluffing its tail feathers to get the female to notice him.Right now we only see a little of his interactions and not what he is really like as a man.
Plus, don't forget, she was outside in the rain for 10 minutes and IMMEDIATELY came down with acute pneumonia.…
Yes! The “I stuck my hand out in the rain and 5 minutes later I am sneezing and need to be rushed to the hospital for an IV drip and two weeks of recouperation” scenarios are just a little too much sonetines 😂
