A Genuine Masterpiece of Storytelling
Let me tell you, this series is an absolute masterpiece. Truly. From the impeccable acting to the stunning use of CGI and set design, particularly the striking contrast of colors. However, all of this pales in comparison to the story itself. Typically, with dramas of this length, there tends to be a decline in quality at some point, usually in the middle where the story may drag a bit before reaching a mediocre conclusion. But this series defies that norm and remains consistently captivating in every single episode - a rarity from what I've seen.Be prepared to shed tears, and I mean **a lot** of them.
I cannot emphasize enough how every moment in this series contributes something significant to the overarching narrative. If you are hesitant about watching this drama, let me assure you - do not hesitate any longer. Dive in and experience it for yourself, but whatever you do, **DO NOT** overlook the special episode that beautifully ties up the series with a perfect bow.

terrible writing
So far the mystery aspect has been pretty good but the overall writing of the show is some of the worst I've ever seen. The main characters are seemingly going out of their way to act either intentionally stupid, or like they want the main antagonist to kill them. The ML gives overwhelmingly credible evidence to the police force who seem to be staffed by brainless idiots and they simply disregard it. No reason behind it they just disregard it, and because of that people die. Not for any particular rhyme or reason but just because...
Not only that the FL supposedly witnesses a murder and just doesn't remember it? and then a bunch of other witnesses that also saw the same murder just start coming out of the woodwork and dying?
It's intentionally lazy writing.

seriously lacks
The next paragraph completely spoils this entire series. stop reading now If you haven't finished. It's entire series is killed by the penultimate episode. The main villain is pinned with over several thousands of pounds of concrete but in the span of 15 seconds despite literally on the verge of being crushed to death he's able to completely unpin himself, find a shotgun, and shoot the FL... Of all the things I've ever seen in a k-drama this is the thing that makes the least sense of anything I've ever seen.
It completely ruined the entire series and any enjoyment I got out of it. There's still over an hour left of this series and I don't want to watch it now because of the god awfully bad writing that I just witnessed.
you'll miss absolutely nothing if you skip this series, and frankly it's simply not worth it.

so so so bad
I cannot even express adequately in words how terrible the writing for this show is. The main villain of the whole show is just a gardener, and the entire soul police force can't seem to fucking find him to the point where he abducts the female lead like two or three times and attempts to murder her, and the male lead and he just keeps getting away. A gardener with absolutely zero resources versus the entire city of Seoul, security cameras, and even private security guards.Avoid this show.

Not nearly as bad as some people say.
The story isn't as convoluted as people were saying.I will say one thing, though. China has no idea how to portray mental illness. The ML has bouts of PTSD from a traumatic situation where he watched a child and his mother die and the writers are like "Oh, he has some weird hallucination thing. NO IDEA WHAT'S CAUSING IT! HERE TAKE ALL THESE PILLS AND STAY AWAY FROM THE FL FOR A BUNCH OF EPISODES TO CURE IT."
It's just convoluted and messed up that this is their take on mental health. If you can overcome that significant writing hurdle, then the show isn't all that bad. Pretty typical Chinese misunderstandings/relationship drama.
