This might have the least believable and worst emperor I have ever seen in a drama and he is single handedly making the entire drama worse for me everytime he is on screen

Korean dramas are rarely anything like that and it being on Netflix won’t change it, you just wanted to throw that in there since you couldn’t be bothered to watch the show

While I am enjoying the show I am little sick of how the FL is flawless and can basically just do whatever she wants and it always goes her way

Everyone just fawns over her and she doesn’t care, I keep hoping this changes at some point or she gets better. It was interesting at first but we are already getting close to the halfway point here

I’m not too sure honestly but I’m still only on like episode 4

They might have just married her to the ML because they fear his power and thought it would be a good way to appease him

The crown princess is the empress dowagers niece and is betrothed to the ML but they hadn’t actually met from what I saw

I love how the guy just instantly flips the switch from great dad to terrible dad immediately

I’m not even being sarcastic, it was actually interesting to see it and it made sense when you think about his position in the court and how smart is supposed to be

The amount of cliffs people just happen to be around in Cdramas is truly ridiculous 💀

I really hated what happened with the princess

Feng Yao is a great dude and deserves to be happy and she was a really cool character

I was really invested in them

UJ was just bad overall to me, the writing for FL character was absolutely terrible and didn’t get better throughout the show. I also found the overall plot extremely mediocre

I don’t think either show is great but this one at least has held my interest longer. I was baffled at how bad the character writing in UJ was for both leads but Bai Luos was extremely bad to me

I will say this is far better than Unveil Jadwind at least

but I have to suspend disbelief a massive amount that FL somehow is a martial arts master after being in the mountains for just 8 years and a switch just flips to protect herself

I’ve seen some pretty unbelievable things before but come on now, even if she trained it wouldn’t make sense

I wonder how many times the FL says the word “Master” in the show

It has to be a crazy amount

The actor who played the Marquis did such a damn good job

Even if you know you are supposed to hate the character, he acted so well that you still had moments where you legit liked him

Probably one of my favorite performances in any drama ever tbh

How am I over 20 episodes in and Wu Zhu hasn’t been in the show since like halfway through season 1?

Honestly I think one of the things I enjoy most about this show is that the step-mom doesn’t end up being one of those tropey evil types

it lasts literally like one episode and then she is cool the rest of the show

I really wish more shows would be like this

The dual sword fighting was so cool man

I really enjoyed it overall but the ending case which should have been most important got the least screen time

It went way to fast at the end, seems like a pretty sloppy way of handling everything
