I always enjoy gripping dialogue. Whether it is Liu Yan giving Fang Pingzhai three sentences before he decides whether to kill him, Tang Lici coming to self-realisation at last and then having a game with Gui Mudan... It's as satisfying as having a uniquely tasty sandwich with ingredients nobody else can identify XD

I am elated but also wary: Is Xifang Tao truly changing sides? She has her own masks, and I'm not sure which one she is using at this point.

Gui Mudan and episode 33 is riveting. So many gems~ Luo Yunxi is truly a gem, in how he manages to create certain impressions with different actors and actresses.

Should be 40 episodes. I don't see how there can be a sudden reduction in the number of episodes, considering the sheer amount of unfinished ends to wrap up. Otherwise there will be a lot of enraged viewers.

I know who is the princess, but I'm respecting the OP's request not to give spoilers. Having a tattoo is a very intimate matter, and for a high-ranking noble, who is female? I'm waiting to see how they will get this sorted within less than ten episodes of many ends to wrap up.

When Love and Destiny aired in 2019, they released more than 40 episodes. It was necessary to accommodate a very good C-Drama and strong ensemble cast.

Fang Zhou cannot come back. Bringing the dead back to life is not possible. But Tang Lici would try, because of who he is and what he believes he can achieve and what Fang Zhou did for him. What I observed about drama-Tang Lici ever since the first flashbacks at Zhoudi Lou is that he doesn't seem to understand emotions while being very truamatised.

This had me questioning the extent of his emotional maturity throughout this drama, meaning Tang Lici is emotionally developed to deal with evil and other nasties but when it comes to emotional maturity of romantic relationships or non-platonic love, he seemed to be lacking in that department because of his origins and how he lived, until he met Fang Zhou. I thought that because of his race, he wasn't emotionally mature as per the natural developments of their race, as in I thought he was literally an infant or little child under the age of 5, when it came to stage of emotional development when he met Fang Zhou. This is crucial to the drama-Tang Lici we are seeing: He can grasp intellectual necessities but when it comes to the finer mature nuances, Shen Langhun runs circles around him.

A HE for everyone is possible, but unfortunately it means our ML won't make it. I would like my HE for Tang Lici, but I'm sure they didn't film that as one of the possible endings. The cat had better get a happy ending, after living with Gui Mudan!

We have less than ten episodes left, and I'm a bit nervous as to how they are going to get everything in. Theories are always fun! I wonder how Liu Yan found Gui Mudan. Or did Gui Mudan find him?

I also wonder which ending we're going with. Frankly, I want Tang Lici to adopt Gui Mudan's cat and be happy in a house, surviving any final battles to do Jianghu things and be with his friends. But then again, given the sacrificial messages throughout this whole drama... I am putting a towel on standby.

It's not a justification of what is happening, neither does it excuse the individual from their actions. Offline, why people with certain conditions do certain things is not easy or possible to understand unless one has insight into their condition. I've also had to deal with narcissists, and many people believe narcissists are only the covert or overt aggressive types who cannot help themselves. That's also not true. However, understanding where they come from ie what is affecting them is the key to any actual change.

Mental health issues can be stigmatised greatly, depending where one is from. It is a fact that people with mental health issues of a certain self-awareness refuse to confide in people who are loud-mouthed judgmental turn-offs. And since this is an ancient setting, there's no therapist (although Shen Langhun looks like he's well on his way to being highly suitable for such a job in the pugilistic world).

He outdid himself in the tears department for this drama. Between restraint and rawness and all else in-between, I can't see anyone else being Tang Lici except him.

If only Immortality would see the light sometime within the next two years- I have sadly given up hope on that drama.

Maybe. Maybe not. Firstly, how did Liu Yan know about the tattoo to do on Zhong Chunji? Xifang Tao is definitely not the type to allow men to know something so intimate about herself, if she is the princess. Unless it is someone who brought her up.

Either Gui Mudan revealed something about Xifang Tao (if the princess is Xifang Tao) to Liu Yan and/or Liu Yan knows because it is another female who wouldn't mind Liu Yan knowing the details of such a tattoo.

I've finished episode 31. Just keep watching :)

In episode 15, Qiaoyi Qiankun confessed to killing Gui Fusheng who was ranked above him as the greatest puppet master and craftsman of mechanisms.

In order to persuade Qiaoyi Qiankun to help in his plans, Liu Yan suggested that the best way for Qiaoyi Qiankun to surpass Gui Fusheng was to destroy all his works, especially the Palace of Fallen Jade which Liu Yan claims was the most special creation of Gui Fusheng.

Pace yourself, and get enough rest. One or two episodes a day maximum, if you are juggling shows :)

Alen Fang maintains tension and intensity very well with different characters such as Fang Pingzhai (Riley Wang's character), Zhong Chunji (Bao Shang'en's character) and of course, Tang Lici. No one gets to Liu Yan like Tang Lici and Fang Zhou. Liu Yan and Tang Lici have a certain push-pull vibe (especially when you get to episode 27). And wait till you see Liu Yan's interaction with Qiaoyi Qiankun (coming up soon)!
