After digesting the ending for a while and all the preparation I had for this ending at the start of the drama, it is nice being with this drama for a month. I had a nice time sharing happiness and spoilers, venting out being frustrated and predicting. I never felt this bad for parting with a drama's comment section and it might very well be because of the tragic ending this drama has. Anyways I had a nice time being with my fellow watchers and I still stand by my word, I still don't regret watching this drama even to the slightest extent. Each and every character in this drama did what they felt they had to do in that moment. If the Emperor stayed in the palace, maybe everyone would have been alive and well but at that crucial moment, all he thought was that he had to protect his wife and his baby. Fang jianming could have been with Haishi and solved his illness together. But at that moment, the most important thing for him was to protect Haishi at all costs. Zheliu could have just appeared in front of Zhouying when she heard about his wedding. But she choose the well-being of the people and the peace for which her beloved was struggling towards for just like the others in this drama. They chose the safety of millions of people over their happiness. If we were in their place, maybe we would have done the same thing cause the happiness we attain by forsaking so many lives is no longer happiness and will soon turn into guilt that makes ur life unbearable every moment just like how Di xu and Fang zhu were bounded to Baixi. Fang haishi, Fang zhouying, Fang jianming and Di xu were people who are very intelligent and know what is right or wrong and can deal with a situation in the most efficient way but sometimes when it concerns their beloved ones, they can also become the world's most foolish ones. I dunno how to conclude this so I will just stop here. Thanks for everyone who have read this long comment of mine.
