What else is this? What with all accusation about paid reviewer or paid rating or whatever?? I am already quite…
Yes. I find this very weird. Why the accusation? It sounds like a bunch of jealous people trying to find fault in something they don't like. As if it is a sin if other people find enjoyment in something they don't.
What else is this? What with all accusation about paid reviewer or paid rating or whatever?? I am already quite annoyed with AvenueX fiasco (and I even haven't watched her video, reading the comment under it already gave me the gist about what she gonna say). And now this?
In my opinion if the drama followed the book closely without adding here and there, it would be a boring drama. The love story in the book is too light. When reading the book I somehow got the feeling that Si Feng was the consolation prize for Xuan Ji. Feels like Xuan Ji just chose to be with him since this was the man that had chased after her so hard. Meanwhile, in the drama we could see Si Feng is the man Xuan Ji attracted to even when she has not understand about love.
Also, the behavior of the goody sects was more believable in the drama if you consider their creed. Their respond towards Li Ze Palace is also more logical. The book brushed up that problem too easily (I would not get into detail here to avoid spoiler).
Moreover, regarding Xuan Ji identity, the book also lacked depth in my opinion. The stake at the last arc in the book was too light. As a standalone novel, I prefer Ten Miles and Ashes of Love. But as drama adaptation, L&R wins. So what if the drama elaborate more on male lead? People forget that one of the things that made Ten Miles so successful was because the drama elaborate more on Ye Hua compared to the novel. While reading the novel, I cannot feel Si Feng character depth. He seemed to exist solely as male companion to the female lead. If that what people wanted to see, then perhaps I would not be here praising this drama.
I have read posters here commenting about how the drama dumbing down Xuan Ji and made Si Feng so good at the expense of everyone else. Well, even in the novel Si Feng was more intelligence compared with everyone else (he had this knack to look beyond and could see the truth easily). Most of it had something to do with his past life identity. Xuan Ji on the other hand is just naive woman who never has the need to really think of things by herself and choose something outside of the norm. She never needs to fight everyone for the sake of her believe (in a "to hell with everyone" way) and live with consequences. The drama just dramatizes more on her character development, what is wrong with that? If for now it made some people annoyed at her, so what?? In the end it would made her maturing more meaningful.
I really do like SF's father. I think he's far better at being a father and a master than any of the other clans.…
Really loved it when Si Feng father called on Xuan Ji in that moment. It sounded like a proud father, hahahaha. Also, I agree that he will go any length to protect his son. Even when he disagree regarding Xuan Ji, he tried to make his son understand instead of threatened Si Feng with his life or something (like Xuan Ji father has done). He just let Si Feng did whatever and when Si Feng messed up, he helped him again and again to his utmost ability.
Watching episode 25 with subs. Getting even more annoyed at Xuan Ji father when I finally understand the content of his "debate" against Si Feng father in front of their children.
I see that Xuan Ji father has this kind of mindset that all other people is dispensable but his family. He was so worried that that Xuan Ji took on the demon whip. Well, he perhaps needs to be reminded the same demon whip has been used on someone else (Si Feng) and I don't see him remorseful about that. I honestly find myself agreeing with Si Feng father in this: 1. Si Feng friends from Shao Yang are useless (as we all can see in the future episodes) 2. Si Feng has already sacrificed so much in helping Xuan Ji but just when she helped him once, Xuan Ji father thought that she has done something so extraordinary. As if he took all Si Feng help for her daughter for granted.
No wonder Ming Yan becomes that stupid and narrow minded. With this kind of master, what you can expect?!
Don't forget Li Ze Palace Master. He is also hot, like his son.
Si Feng father is my favorite character in this drama else other than Si Feng. Really the best father in the drama. I really like how even though he disagreed with his son love choice, he still tried to protect his son everytime Si Feng messed up. Xuan Ji father needs to learn from him.
anyone noticed how tricky/clever some of the lines that sifeng has said? like when he tell xuanji he's not from…
I feel that Si Feng really step up his game after his father death. He is very smart guy but it was when he finally realized that he had responsibility that he used that brain to its full capacity, hahaha
Yes it was indeed.I even read somewhere that SF’s real identity (not in the mortal realm) is the son of the…
I also don't know whether the rumor is correct or not. But for sure he is somebody in heaven since he can save the God of War when she was being punished back then
Just as I thought Sifeng becomes powerful, he gets stabbed, again! @#$%%^&
As far as I remember, Hao Chen told all of them to kill both Si Feng and his dad. Xuan Ji needs to grow backbone to finally defy her father and senior brother. Perhaps after the truth comes out and she remembers, she will be more resolute on protecting Si Feng.
Has anyone here read the novel? I couldnt find the fake marriage part upon reading the novel. Does the series…
The fake marriage is drama only addition. It adds more pain for Xuan Ji in the drama though. The drama more or less follows the novel in regard of big picture but it added a few plot here and there which gave a heavier feeling overall to the story (which is very good).
Even tough it is all has been angst moment ever since Si Feng identity revealed, the positive thing is he no longer needs to act weaker than he is. It was very satisfying seeing him in episode 43 & 44 defeating all those hypocrite sect.
Just as I thought Sifeng becomes powerful, he gets stabbed, again! @#$%%^&
Really?? Good to hear that she would not cultivate the feeling mantra again with Hao Chen. No wonder Hao Chen so pissed in the end of episode 44.
First time I watch episode 44, it was already passed midnight so perhaps my brain no longer able detecting details. But when I re-watching I got even angrier that my first time, hahahaha. So angry when Hao Chen taunting Si Feng about what had happened between Hao Chen and Xuan Ji.
Why is HC claiming SF is MSX, not XJ? Doesn't he know the truth? This is so inconsistent.
I found Hao Chen was very laughable at this scene. He was the one who knew best who MSX was. He should be thankful that Si Feng loved Xuan Ji a lot that he sacrificed himself.

So sorry for the super long post.
