IAM BEING CHEATED BY WISHFULNESS

When I got to the end of series, I felt like I am being cheated by Hua Qian. At first I thought 'Scent of Time' is another drama version 'Story of Kunning Palace', a story of reborn woman whose redeeming her mistakes to her new life but there's a twist that makes it different from other. The tragic love between 4 individuals Zhong Xi Wei, Hua Qian, Zhong Ye Lan & Mu Yao. Beginning episode Hua Qian was being hunted by soldiers and witnessing the dead of her mother and brother. She's collapse and wake up in different reality on the time marrying Zhong Ye Lan, the man she's fallen in love with since childhood. Hua Qian realize then that she's reborn and determine to redeem her mistakes from previous life so instead of being a jealous and hateful wife, she tries to reconnect her husband Zhong Ye Lan to his childhood love Mu Yao, she approves her to be concubine and demand divorce for herself. Hua Qian comes clean for all the wrong doing and determine to be a nice person to people around her. While Zhong Xi Wei is still in love even after her marriage to his brother, as the head of Zhong family he happily agrees to give divorce degree so he can pursue her as a single woman. As taboo as it sounds, a divorcee woman can't remarry the brother of ex-husband. He pursue her tirelessly...convince her that he'd be there if she would just trust him. Besides all the disputes between Hua & Mu family, fragrant big family business, death of love ones, hatred and misunderstanding, also appearance of faithful lowly guard Hua Rong Zhao (Zhang Yi Jie) as her sole console and protector in her position.

Hua Qian's desperation is the fruit of hope to start her miserable life all over again, admitting mistakes as a new person . Curiously this drama should be ended in ep 26 but no...continue to more lighter version to finally grand finale. I like Zhong Xi Wei (Wang Xing Yue) here although Xing Yue has been taking similar character in his other dramas (Zhang Zhe in Story of Kunning Palace & Liu Zixing in One and Only) the guy with irreconcilable love, in this drama though he's more stellar to fight for the woman he loves. Wu Shuo Mo (Li Yun Rui) is outstanding, better than his role the Last Immortal, he can take role both coarse or dignify (in LLtG) character as his next project. Hua Qian (Zhao Ye) though isn't too convincing in few of scenes (drunk scenes and traumatic life experience scene on last episode) her dimple is so pretty when she smiles. Sadly, none of them smile. I find this despondent love story is beautiful...we implore emotion in love, regret, hope, struggle, trust just to be forgiven.

What I like about this drama?
* Beautiful costumes in my favorite dynasty with little hair ornaments and bare make up
* All actors are collaborating nicely, great supporting actors, love the OST
* Unusual plots and twist in very creative story telling
* It's a beautiful tragic love stories with happy ending

Last episode Hua Qian says sober farewell to Hua Rong Zhao as she go back to consciousness after 26 months coma where she's been recreating her imaginative longing different life as the real life struck in bitter facts that she has to deal with. All 29 episodes are wishful aspiration from a woman who realize many flaws and errors she committed but there is a man who won't give up on her and love her no matter what. Whispering calling his name soft 'Zhong Xi Wei'.......he's so happy. That's love.

20 EPISODES FULL OF FILLERS

I'd say that this drama can finish in 10-12 episodes instead of 20 episodes which they filled it with more twists, plots, confusion over feeling or self-realization, back-on-forth love (or not to love). The main idea of every damn 'Choi' family created such terrible connection that every 'Shin' had to bear hardship and sadness. Yeah...every plots went around about these 2 family names.

Shin Joon-young (Kim Woo-bin) and No-Eul (Bae Suzy) were high school classmates who were separated during their teenage years due to an ill-fated relationship, but later meet each other in adulthood. Shin Joon-young is now a top actor-singer (Jerk, rude, devilish gorgeous, rich, sickly, cold), while No-Eul (emotional, unlucky, beautiful, poor, pity, money minded) was a documentary producer. No-Eul had a tough childhood; her father died in a hit-and-run, prompting No-Eul to quit school and make a living for herself and her brother. Shin Joon-young, had his life planned out for him. His mother wanted him to become a prosecutor to follow in the footsteps of his estranged father, but an incident caused him to quit law school and become a singer-actor. His mother disowned him, couldn't understand why he quit law, she hated his celebrity status. She had him when she's 22 and impregnated by boyfriend Choi Hyeon-joon which he left her for another woman and became the source of suffering for all characters in this drama.

The two later reunite when No-Eul is tasked to film Shin Joon-young's documentary. She convinced the producer that she can obtain his consent for the documentary shoot. Initially, Joon-young gave No-Eul a hard time, but he eventually agrees to participate in the documentary. Working together didn't give them solitude, more like battle of heart, like one pulling rope tight and lose, never ending confusion because of circumstances. Joon-Young didn't give shit to anything (breaking contracts, change mind in last minute, rude, dismiss press), nothing to lose demeanor that made every person frustrated, but he had secrets that he wouldn't admit...he's terminally ill - a cancer that only allowed him 3 months to live...he's also guilty on action he caused car accident to No-Eul 5 years earlier....and he's the son of congressman Choi Hyeon-joon out of wedlock.

Okay, I think Kim Woo-Bin is gorgeous and he has the cold eyes good for a rude guy character while he also could be a charmer for his mom. Bae Suzy....she often delivered her dialog screaming on top of her lung! Not to mention her acting cute (ackh...) I don't understand where they supposedly madly in love each other but there wasn't warmness in relationship, she didn't hug him back, kiss on peck, no tender glances. I can shorten the episode by suggesting some changes in plots: give No-Eul compensation for the death of her father, move away and move on, be transparent (seems everybody loves to held grudges and keeping secrets). Of course, this is drama, the more melodramatic the longer episode becomes. At the end though, did Shin Joon-Yong died from his cancer? As No-Eul wishing to see him tomorrow? Possibly season 2? Hope not but I don't mind to see Kim Woo-BIn again. LOL

CONTINUAL PLOTS FROM SEASON 1

I was kind of predicted that Joon-Ho (Jung Hae-In) would deserted the ARMY from how he doubted himself on Season 1. So, it was predictable but with different angle to solve run-away soldiers or continual problem of the system. Basically, the change won't happen when the upper level officials keep blind eyes. When bullying persists and officials close their eyes to the suffering, soldiers bond to give up and one result is running away from the bad situation they're in. It started when a soldier Kim Ru Ri killed the whole squad in shooting spree, injured many and killed a few. He got caught back under security but found out Army covered the incident with possibly wrongful time decease - for the fact few more were died due to delaying rescue because of bureaucratic system of chain in command. Ahn Joon-Ho had the UB-file to prove the wrong doing, being chased by the people to hand down the evidence. He maneuver people around him to win the on-going case in court, got beaten up.

Not as many Deserters as the first season but more horrific plots. If Season 1 & Season 2 combined was more likely one regular Korean drama, The development of the characters were evolving, Joon Ho's supervisors matured in handling crisis, took risks to prevent the system's mistakes. There's an indication that might have Season 3 as Han Ho-Yul leaved ARMY for good while Joon-Ho was still continue his service. Jung Hae-In was great maintaining his charm in boyish tough look. I think he looked better in here than any other of his dramas. Little comic added lightness to this drama....

NO GUNS, ONLY BOXING JABS

This lesson is for people not to borrow money from the loan-sharks. full packed action, great fighting skills, amazing collaboration between actors, and good plots. Geon-Woon (Woo Do-Hwan) was capable to punch men right on the face, a kind-heart amateur boxer fought against Woo-Jin in local ring, the two bonded together with a benevolent moneylender to take down a ruthless loan shark who preys on the financially desperate people. Story began when Geon Woon's pitiful mom borrowed money from a loan-shark and got attack because she couldn't pay back the money she borrowed, in order to save her Geon Woon need to get money to pay them back, with the help of Woo-Jin's connection he got a job as a bodyguard with 2 years advance pay to paid off mom's debt. His job was to watch over his employer's grand daughter that has been watching the operation of syndicate thief as they used it to taking loans using homeless men's ID.

Apparently the operation connected to bigger scale of loan sharks. People they care died as they saw it to find justice for them. Don't see gun use in the drama, lots of hit punch jabs, which is awesome. Woo Do-Hwan built as tough as a boxer but his bright smiles proved his naive character, innocent young men who would fight to powerful loan-shark just because.

Skills and fight were real.

ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS

What I like about this? Original story, different synopsis from any C-drama, Tan Jian Ci and collaboration of the casts, ordinary people with real contribution in life. One of good drama in 2022....trust me on this.

1. Original story, different synopsis from any C-drama
Shen Yi (Tan Jian Ci) was still an art student when a man came to ask a drawing what a child would look like as an adult. He did so well that later caused the death of an undercover agent Lei Yi Fei. A young policeman Du Cheng (Jin Shi Jia) was raging mad of Shen Yi, he accused him for the cause of the death of his long-time friend and mentor. Out of guilt, Shen Yi accepted the invitation of Director Zhang of the Public Security Bureau and became a portraitist of the Interpol Team in five years later. By that order Du Cheng had to accept reluctantly Shen Yi to became a colleague with annoyance and uncooperative assistance toward Shen Yi’s drawing to solve cases, and the two became the “ticking bomb” in the team. The strange thing is that, no matter how hard Shen Yi tried of recall for a few years, he couldn't draw the face of the man who asked him to paint the child's photo. Eventually, Shen Yi helped out to uncover many mystery of crimes with his drawing including the biggest case of his involvement 5 years earlier.

2. Tan Jian Ci and collaboration of the casts
As a talented criminal sketch artist (Forensic Artist) he's a character that could translate details from witnesses at the crime scene, to make sketches that police and the public may use to identify and capture criminal suspects. Teaming with Du Cheng (Jin Shi Jia) was kind of frienamy - they knew they're depending to each other and respect their own field but because of mistrust and grudge, Du Cheng found it hard to get along with him. Lots time working solo, Shen jin forced to endure 'cold reception' from the team until proven to be successful. All the casts did well, Tan Jian Ci acted he's the real artist.

3. Ordinary people with real contribution in life.
All actors didn't have visibly make up like they're just ordinary people that doing their job well in real life; sweating, panting, running, angry, protest all done convincingly just like the real investigators.

DEAD PEOPLE ON A VILLAGE

Surprisingly this is a good drama that I can recommend to anyone. A village of dead people who're still undiscovered their dead bodies. Some of them leaving the village spiritually within days but some were longer than 27 years as no one hadn't find their bodies in physical world, their souls still stuck in this village. Like Thomas, the leader of village who might have been there for over 100 years. An old man with young body of 22 years, the age when he died. He opened a cafe where everyone gather and visit, there's a special room when new undiscovered (bodies) came and regroup with the rest of them. Kim Wook who happened to run into this village thought a bit weird, he met a young boy that cried for his mother, he thought these village people kidnap this boy - he promised to find his mom. After called in the police and show them where the boy was, they couldn't see the village nor the boy, determined he's a lunatic.

After being rescued by Jang Joon-Ho the night before, he came back to him to find answer. He explained and started to understand that he could see spirits of dead people while other people didn't see them. With his realization, we wanted the fullfill his promise to the little boy to find his mother and succeeded, by doing that he'd discovered the malice of crime done. The boy saw his mother with happiness and his spirit evaporated. Since then, he determined to help every single spirit in the village would be found their dead bodies so their spirit move on. His friendship with Jang Joon-Ho who's initially been done that expand their investigations by searching and finding evidence to send criminals into jail and where to find victim's bodies. While Jang Joon-Ho had to find his own missing daughter, Kim Wook had also missing mother - which he found her as one of the dead villager.

Three people died on accidents, one end up in dead village Choi Yeo-Na who supposed to get married with Detective Shin within a month. Their love story that make this drama a bit emotional, the construction company involved with this many disappearances was about the inheritance of a sole will. A greedy man that killed everyone from a certain orphanage just to get their DNA and wipe out the possibly a heir grandchild of construction company. Kim Wook's mother as one of the victim was finally found so was everyone else. The ending was great, Kim Wook & Jang Joon-Ha at the end couldn't see the Deon village anymore as their tie to the village was being resolved. Thomas, after 100 years in dead village, his body finally was found and he's gone too to heaven. Great drama, unique story, great acting from Lead & supporting Actors.

IT'S AN OK

A female prosecutor who mastered in kicking ass, law, 4 languages, as well manipulation. She started from the bottom to get where she was, she strive to find the killer of her grandmother's hit and run car accident that lead her to the bigger scheme of big establishments which included prosecutor who ignore investigation her Grandmother's hit & run. Losing her memory after a car accident, she woke up in the family of strangers that treated her like s**t, that use her for bargaining chip for the family, later found out she's identical look alike of a heir daughter in law Kang Mi-Na. While Cho YeonJoo tried to figure out who she's, she managed to get to know cousin in law (Han SeongWook) who happened to be in love with the real MiNa but realized the girl in front of him definitely was not her. Seong Wook just came back to Korea to discover who's behind the horrific death of his father's as well as the heir of biggest share holder of Yumin company where Kang Mi-Na hold 32% after the plane accident that befallen into her family. The real Kang Mi-Na on the run to China, went into plastic surgery to change her entire face, planning to come back to fight her inheritance - to bad her character was pretty weak - big ambition without action. Nothing but substance....nothing but failure to her after all the shitty things she had to endure from in-laws.

The collaboration between them uncovered the greed of Han family, corruption of Prosecutors, mismanagement of company, as well as family dynamic. It's good drama, finished it within a week, not a memorable one but watchable. I like Honey Lee the FL, she's a better Korean actress and comical.

GOOD DRAMA - RECOMMEND IT

Surprisingly this is a good drama, I gave rewatch value 9 just because I've watched this drama 4X over, just because I love it. The main story was about a plane accident that related to giant insurance company and aviation company that found a scapegoat to one of the pilot. The brother of the scapegoat (dead) pilot and a husband of two of the dead passengers worked together to solve who's the instigator - to be the blame of that horrific plane accident. As they're working together with the help of a team, they finally found the answer of bereavement. Started as competitive stranger, ending with brotherhood that have their back.

I love all the characters, they're fun to watch, the tricks and trips packed of actions. If want to watch some action and wittiness so this is it! It wasn't a serious drama but nor light one...

LIANG YI, QIN YAN, QIU XIAO, QIN MIN

Jeremy Tsui (Liang Yi) has thick makeup, we can see how heavy the make up which was awful. He has such a handsome face, the make up didn't do him justice, should be fired that make-up artist. He didn't look natural at all, his face (the best asset) covered with the thickness of face foundation - could see foundation line on the edge of his lip - he didn't look healthy. Qin Yan was cute, natural beauty and they both have a great chemistry but when she acted 'sad, concern' she appeared like 'grimace' which didn't look good on her. She's a tall girl which unusual for female in costume drama, she's care-free which uncalled for to the period of supposedly time. The best of all is the chemistry between Lead actors as the loving interaction was genuine and comfortable to each other. I like the story, all intertwined and flowing (if avoid water-fill stories) there were twists which unpredictable at the end of story, and every actors did a good job taking parts in their roles.

Even for Qin Min, she's beautiful but she's such a bore! Self pity, unwise, selfish, weak, coward, all things that I despise in any character. Wayne Liu (Qiu Xiao) did good with his character, kind of soft and kind heart man - not the right man for Qin Yan to choose. The Emperor was an easy target, didn't have influence or weight in governing country. All in all is a good drama but there're water-filled story in between episodes such as Qin's Women in Royal Academy, it's on and on about Qin Min plastering Qiu Xiao like we're ready to knock her head into sense. The sweetness relationship between Liang Yi & Qin Yan is admirable, they shown their affection openly and his Mom blessing their union. The ending is sweet...

NOT YOUR TYPICAL PRIEST

I love love this drama. He's pretty straight forward and not a typical Priest that we all know. First, Fr Michael Kim will scold, bark, pouch, yell, impatient, giving so much attitude to his parishioners. Second, he is handsome and has dark secret past. Third, he is loyal, kind, intelligent, and capable. Besides he isn't going to put up with s**t, fight back in what he believes in, temperamental and will stick his gun for the people who dear to him. A lot of dramas/movies portrayed religious people as weaklings or type of people who will take in the (bad) fates which kind of tiring but not Fr Kim, he wants justice serve without prejudices. I like that...different from normal portrayals...

Kim Hae-il / Michael Kim (Kim Nam-Gil) retired NIS agent became a priest after a heart-stopping accident on the job, on the pinnacle of his self destruction, he's rescued by Father Lee and became his father figure and mentor. He respect and love Fr. Lee but the cartels kill and name-smear him. He's in range, try to get help from the polices but got nothing. Until he wrote a letter to the Pope and beg for re-investigation, he got Goo Dae-young (Kim Sung-kyun) a reluctant police to help him with the investigation - the cop that so bad on the job and clumsy - the Police Chief set this to fail Fr. Kim's reinvestigation. The interaction between two men is hilarious, altercation, friendship, respect, butt head. Park Kyung-sun (Lee Ha-Nee) A corrupt prosecutor who covered up the crimes of Gudam's administrators including the police chief and head borough, she is one of the parishioner and love Fr. Lee but forbid to come to the mass because Fr. Kim believes she isn't good enough to enter the church with the way she practice the law and handling Fr. Lee's dead situation. They both bicker, argue, distrust each other.

No romance, no heart break, all straight to action & fun.

RARE SYNOPSIS

I thought at first I am going to be bored with this drama, an Asperger young man that has above normal intelligence, works for his dad a Trauma Cleaner 'Move to Heaven' company that pack items left by the deceased - with bow for respect the dead they box in meaningful personal belongings and get rid of the rest - a service that goes beyond what's expected. They'd be able to tell the story of the diseased to pass it on to their family. Geo Ru's father passes on, his uncle Sang Koo becomes the guardian of him with condition that he has to work at the company and live with him. Although Sang Koo has issues, went to jail for illegal underground fight, his demeanor is 'care less - hell with everything' does not bound well with Geo Ru's habitual and repetitive behavior.

This is the type of rare story line that we don't see, very interestingly there is called a Trauma Cleaner - a service to provide clean up what dead people left behind. Different cases has different uniquely background stories when the diseases were still alive. The synopsis is their personal stories, the family (or none) that they left behind; unspoken wishes and hopes, sadness, love or hate, regret and abandonment. A dirty work that emotionally burdened, personally I won't do their job. It's a very touching not from the main actors but mostly from the supporting actors who portrays the dead people. Not matter how good this drama I don't think i can rewatch it....the kind of drama that you only want to watch once.

TRAGIC END OF A KING

He's a young ambitious King of mid-era Jeseon who went ballistic and over the edge from intense power struggle at the palace especially over the guilt for killing the rightful young heir brother. His dark mood, violence drive, and hatred made him enemies from all sides - he died from poison given by his most loyal and trusted minister. Such a tragic ending from a young King, there's no farewell, just died sad, scare, betrayed, in the beach alone. Warrant he's mentally sick and murderous he's still a King that demand utmost respect. Meanwhile a clown brought in to cover the absent King from duty, his job was to be poisoned and killed by the King's enemies - he's to become a substitute of King while the real one hide for his mental health. Not just he strives but also win the trust of many especially the queen as she started to fall in love to...the fake King - the Clown. He's constantly need advise from Chief Secretary, as an uneducated clown he knew nothing about politic, intrigue, people surround him, or read Hanja. He survive the ordeal intrigue around the palace, his heart is for the people, he makes right decisions with the advise from Chief Secretary.
The Dowager Queen wants him die for vengeance of her killed-young son (legitimate heir who's being killed by the real King), the Left State Counselor also wants him die because of greed and power.

While the King is vibrant and full of vitality, the Queen is kind of slow. The romance isn't appealing, I think the Queen spoiled it by acting too gloomy - she has to be forced to smile by a wish. If she's in love, her eyes says otherwise...her sad face isn't radiant like someone in love and she loves to be woo. She's 'cold' according to the real King (rightful husband)...but since the clown is good in wooing her...she felt for it. Well, when she finally find out about the secret, she's pissed.

I love Yeo Jin-Goo's acting. He can act as crazy maniac King and also as a tender heart-sweet gentle fake King. The loyal Chief Secretary is the main instigator of all...he loyalty to his King...he wants the King to love the people. He's the one who kills the young heir future King and kills the legitimate King..to choose fake King clown to ascent the throne. How twisted is his mind; he's wise, kind, considerate, but he also has 2 royal blood in his hand. I love Eunuch Jo - he's a good man - he tries to separate two lovebirds as morally they aren't truly husband & wife or love affair between a low born clown with high born noble Queen. Beside the Queen, I don't like Dal-lae character, sister of the clown, she'd be the dead of him.

CLASSICAL LEGEND SUN GO KONG

I love this drama, a Chinese classical legend Sun Go Kong in Korean modern setting. Rather the regular boring story line, this one here recovering old legend in many different modern twists and turns. 1995 Stephen Chow's movie 'a Chinese Odyssey part 1 & 2: Pandora Box and Cinderella' is a good referral for Sun Go Kong legend, how unruly monkey king refused to take in his fate but has fallen in love with a dainty ZiXia. At the end though, Sun Go Kong realized he couldn't defy his fate and ZiXia died from loving him. Not exactly similar with Stephen's movies which has countless similar remakes...I love the character of Devil King Woo and his faithful dog companion Ms. Ma - they are enrich the character of O Gong and Seon Mi (Samjang). The Zombie girl Richie is a beautiful girl...her character build up overtime...she isn't a rotten smelly zombie but into a devious long hatred ambitious evil spirit priestess Asanyeo to the king 1,000 years ago, and now seeks to marry Son Oh-gong for power and love. I also like the character of brother/sister Summer fiery/Winter General...they are contradiction of sweet and gentle, kind and considerate, sibling love and friendship. I give credit to Lee Han-joo: A real estate employee who works under Jin Seon-mi - he put up alot of s**t from irregularity, Yoon Dae-sik / Sa Oh-jeong: CEO of MSUN, a mobile phone manufacturing company - who would love to take care of all the group - cooking, cleaning, pay the bills, taking care of their worldly businesses.

I can understand the doubt Seon Mi has for O Gong's love...as he said casually...it's also Geumganggo, a magical bracelet that will ensure the obedience of anyone who wears it through the power of love, whenever O Gong feels the love it will squeeze his heart out. The original Geumganggo wore as a crown, whenever the feeling of deep love - it will tighten Sun Go Kong head to crucifying pain so he gave up his love to ZiXia. Of course, this drama didn't end up like that...

BECAUSE I LOVE YOU OST

I love the OST 'Because I love you' and I think that's the highlight of this drama. A boy famously known as 'Joseon's national treasure' misunderstood situation that messed up situation that caused an abdication of a queen and a little princess Hye-Myung losing her dearest mother. He then lost his memory and got sent of to his grandfather then went to China for further education, as an adult he came back to Joseon and got a job as Prince's tutor. He met a princess accidentally and hated her sassy behavior, he found out later that she's the sister of princely student as he's being introduced, they became friends and towards the end fallen in love to each other. The sassy princess Hye-myung (Oh Yeon-seo) who doesn't have the best reputation among the people. She often sneaks out of the palace in search of her mother that she believed still alive. She wouldn't say anything to anyone including her father, the King, as she saw it that no one would want disgraceful dethroned queen back to the picture.

Pretty simple love story, the current queen and Jung Ki-joon, Left Minister (Jung Da-yeon's father) made this story more twists and interesting plots. Since the current queen was so jealous of former queen, she'd do anything to increase her influential and status...manipulate situation into her benefits. At the end though, she died with her former fiancee that fiercely loyal to her.

Hye-Myung refused the marriage proposal because she'd like to be a physician and intended to go to China for her medical training. One year later, they reunited and she proposed marriage to him. Sweet...sweet....I apparently watched this drama twice without realize it and how much I've forgotten scenes and story. I love (Jang Young-nam) Lady Heo, Gyeon Woo's mother - she's a devoted mother and also very expressive...anyway I love all the OST.

DOWN TO EARTH CROWN PRINCE

I rewatch this drama that I have abandoned (on ep 6) for over a year and realize very late that I missed the good drama. The palace intrigues not just pulling our interest in the drama, seems like everyone wanted crown prince to die for their own benefits; crown princess (the wife), the step mother (the queen), and ministers. When crown prince was little he witnessed his first love's family being killed by his own father and his trustee/supporter...not to mention he also overheard his mother got kill for this bloody coup....since then he hated his father the King...he held the grudges and contempt. When he survived from the murder attempt, he saved by Hong Sim's adoptive dad Mr. Yeon but has amnesia. They married by crown prince's degree (himself), with amnesia he couldn't remember anything of his background - he became commoner Na Won Deuk who knew nothing and good for nothing husband until found out that he's literate and an expert of martial art.

I love the whole casts especially Kim Ki-Doo (Gu Do, husband of Keutt-nyeo) he has the cutest expression. The crown prince Lee Yul (Do Kyung-Soo) is a baby face handsome man, as crown prince he was a lonely sad arrogant harsh man but as Won-Deuk he learned common life in hard way who's also fallen in love with his (fake) wife. Won=Deuk has attitude problem and gentleman arrogant speech, bearing and demeanor that only suitable for high born rather common folks he's surrounded with. When Won-Deuk memory started to come back, he decided to live as a commoner instead of back to his royalty status and more interested to live with Hong-Sim and moved away hiding from everything.

The interaction between village people are really tight knitted big family - even supposedly mean shark money-lender was familiar with the whole family. Mr. Yeon was a very nice kind dad who loves his adopted daughter and son-in-law to no end...very proud to whatever Won-Deuk did or didn't do. The portion scenes of palace intrigue, relationship in ML, village people, local politicians were diversely balance tied to the story flawlessly. For the unborn royal baby all hell and deadly causes aiming the dead of crown prince. Great drama..overall score 10 is well earned and deserved, nothing that I don't like.
