Omg finally coming!! Read the book 2 years ago and the cast is looking promising! (highly recommended reading the book, it's good.)

Seeing that his name is yu tu and he is an aerospace engineer, I’m assuming the author got inspiration from the jade rabbit (also yu tu). In Chinese legends, the jade rabbit is Chang’e’s companion and the live on the moon and the jade rabbit is seen constantly making elixirs by grinding stuff in a mortar.
