Forgot to add..this drama has the worst trailer so don’t judge it by the trailer. And Dylan is now one of my dream lovers…right up there with Xu Kai and Yang Yang 😝

Watch it while you wait for subbed episodes of A Romance in the Little Forest 😉😉😉 Most of the complaints people have are with Esther’s voice but since you’re already familiar with her voice and acting, it won’t be a big deal. Dylan’s acting has improved by leaps and bounds from Meteor Garden and he played this role very well. As if it was made for him. Also the voice actor who made Dylan’s acting even more believable and convincing. The leads have very good chemistry and a lot of screen time together. There’s no annoying second couple that no one likes 😅 The plot moves quickly so it’s not a slow, boring watch. It’s not highly complex so it’s an easy to follow and watch. Unlike some xianxias where one makes sacrifices over and over again, in this drama they both make sacrifices for eachother. Though Esther’s character is bubbly, and some may even say immature, she’s actually quite intuitive and when faced with a decision she always follows her heart. This drama a good balance of everything. Definitely one of my favorite dramas this year and top Xianxia for me 🤗🤗🤗🤗
so i just finished Esther Yu’s Moonlight, and i dont think that she had good chemistry with Ding Yuxi. I planned…
They have the best chemistry right from the beginning. Both on and off camera. If you watch the bts videos you’ll see how comfortable and playful they are with eachother and it looks like they had a great time filming.
She has better chemistry with Dylan Wang than Zhang Binbin.
him leaving was so abrupt i was a bit confused and thought they cut something out. but i heard its just poor editing…
I’m going to guess he was gone at least half a year because when he returned, the grapes were already back in season. Another reason I think half a year is because when he went to her hometown looking for Artemesia, it was during summer break then when Meiren accepted the teaching job, it was also summer break because TT mentioned Meiren is quite busy with work when it’s just summer school. A year had gone but so most likely he was gone for a few months to half a year.
Ya know if Chinese historical dramas were around 16 eps like most east asian dramas, I would watch every single…
This is the drama for you to try 😅 If you are new to cdramas and Xianxia, this may set the bar high. Compared to 50 or 60+ episode dramas…this plot moves fairly quickly so it won’t feel as long. The good thing is the leads get a lot of screen time together. Some people complain of the beginning episodes because of her voice but get through episode 9 and you’ll be hooked.
Give it a chance and you may be surprised at how much you enjoy it.

It’s a consensus and NO one likes the second couple. Their story is lame and no one cares for it or for them. Everyone wants more focus on the leading couple and more development in their relationship.
For those of us who have to wait for subbed episodes..I feel your pain. Finally, today’s episode 23 we get the long awaited reunion. If the writers had made us wait any longer and dragged out the second couple’s story I would have dropped this drama. Don’t think I can stomach any more of those two. I’m so done with them and could care less how they end up. Now on to our leads…I’m so glad to see YMR give ZY the cold shoulder. It was shitty of him to leave without even letting her know. Who leaves the country without a proper goodbye? His trip abroad could be months or even years so how can he not tell her? It’s logical to tell your friends, family, and especially love interest. I get that his leaving will complicate their relationship but by not saying anything, he disregarded her and her feelings. He needs to grovel, beg, and chase her hard to make up for it before she forgives him. I’m glad we’ll finally get to see some development in their relationship. I was so close to dropping it…it also doesn’t help that we have to wait so long for subbed episodes 😤😑 but I’m looking forward to sweet moments (ahem, kisses) between our leading couple and a happy ending for them.

It’s so elementary school for the second ML to pursue her like that. He’s a president of a company for goodness sake. How did he get that position with the brain he has???? Faking a disability to get close to her was just ridiculous. And how does she deliver grapes then end up staying in the city to work for him for months?? Their story was too unrealistic and cringy to watch.
