I think if xiaowei and wuzhiqi gave the power willingly, they would've been alive too. Xiaowei was not listening, he was so obsessed and fighting it to the end. After he gave the power he was still alive. It's his unwillingness to live without his love he died.
Wuzhiqi is mainly coz butterfly demon pulled the power using force and it disrupted his inner core and meridians.
So, let's hope Hanba gives it willingly so he can be alive 😥
