I actually found out since LOTDT and thought it was interesting. I am also from the US. Btw, her real voice gives off such a different vibe and I love it. But I think I get why they dub her, it's prob bc she lived in America and always spoke English so she might not have the Chinese way of speaking that dramas need. Lol tbh would've actually preferred the theory I made in the beginning where Yesha is Beiming but isn't actually Beiming. Either he is an alter that takes over him when he is unconscious (for instance, in the boat incident, I imagined that when Beiming became unconscious, an alter took over him, and where he was last positioned is when he becomes conscious again.) Would make sense. But throughout the drama, let's cross it out, bc it seems the least to make sense for everything they showed. So I was leaning towards Beiming being a twin, so when they mentioned Bei Kun, that got me curious who Bei Kun is, and lowkey made me wish he was an identical twin. It would make lots of sense to me. Bc rmr that scene when Yesha was wearing a mask and was talking to Ping Ying and it sounded a bit like Beiming? So I thought it made the most sense that Yesha was someone who sounds similar to Beiming, which has gotta be a twin bc twins sound similar to each other (for instance, me and my twin... where someone recently said we have the same voice). I did feel like there were some plot holes about Tongshuang being the villain but I also didn't expect him to actually be his brother lol. Idk if it's just me but I def would've preferred the plot twist that it's someone who looks just like Beiming 😭

But anyways I think they did pretty well with how they executed it tho ofc there are some questions in my head bc even if all his moments with the gang were genuine (He Luoluo mentioned that and we did see it briefly in the last ep), there were some that didn't make sense if he was faking it, for instance... Was he really scared of the autopsy that Qingzhuo was gonna do in that one ep when he as Yesha can brutally murder all these people? It feels weird to think he was pretending there oof...

Okay, anyways, I overall loved the drama and despite me wishing the villain was Briming's evil twin, doppelganger, alter, or whatever, I wouldn't let it affect my score too much as it's what they wanted to show us. It was quite impressive too. Obviously, I had guessed it was onr of the gang members tho. I did think of Tong Shuang as an option tbh bc in ep 3 intro at first I thought it was WXY but then as I took a look again I could see He Luoluo as well... I couldn't really not believe in it tho bc of his character 😭 And idk, but I couldn't see Qingzhuo as one either. He really seemed to blame himself for giving Beiming poison. And as a coroner and someone who does medicine, he's always doing his best to get the best results, so chances for someone like him to be Yesha is low. And ofc, I wouldn't believe the girls were Yesha. So my options were Tongshuang or Beiming's brother (identical twin instead), or Beiming but not truly Beiming.

Oh, and let me mention, He Luoluo is indeed older than Wang Xingyue 😂 Indeed WXY looks mature at 23~ Like he's the same as Julia Xiang, but it's super cool to know how the leads are the same age which I'm sure makes them closer to each other irl.

I really don't know tbh. Is it bc she's American? I hope not. Another case could be bc they don't think she looks as beautiful as other actresses. They just downgrade, like it's very strange how their opinions form. I also find her pretty good actress esp as a rookie. She's doing great.

Lol you made the same mistake as the person below. At this time, I had only watched ep 31 so you gave me a major spoiler but luckily I was wary and only skimmed a bit and stopped as I was worried about you giving me a spoiler. Anyways, I agree with you.

1) Nah there isn't. There are two cps but at the same time there is very very little romance so you don't see much of that here as the detective drama this is.
2) Well, they don't really show it. They kinda already do in the beginning but not completely? I will say they get married very early on in the drama though. But if you expect lots of romance, sorry friend, it lacks a lot here. You can only enjoy this if you like a good detective drama.
3) Yes which happens after the first couple eps due to a huge incident. They don't rlly separate tho bc they solve cases together and she's still always protecting him despite this. She eventually learns to trust him completely as they spend more time together.
4) Yes, a HE for every character of the gang except for the main villain which I would rather not disclose as it's better and more fun to watch it yourself.

1. I don't even know lol... Tongshuang was one of my faves. I also love Beiming.
2. You can say that. But since you know who is Yesha, that's the biggest one. There is another character with a hidden identity but the characters don't react to it badly. Not a bad character either.
3. Tongshuang is still evil but yes he has his reasons which will be explained. I still feel a lot of emotions for his character. The feeling of betrayal was real, esp with our gang, but the root of his evil doings is due to his origin and revenge.
4. So many ppl just hate FLs in general I guess. Julia Xiang seems to have a lot of haters too which is baffling. But honestly, Xueman is such a likeable FL and will become even more likeable as you watch. She is not like any of those typical annoying FLs at all.
5. Emperor is both ways you could say. Not terrible but he's made huge mistakes that caused so much suffering.
6. What aides? Is this for the first case? I am kind of forgetting this one.

Right? Like when his song plays? Can't help but get emotional every time... What a great singer 😭 But to know now that he's Yesha... wow, goosebumps! But I STILL get emotional in his and Beiming's last scene together yet again with his song playing... That was really... esp since we've been in this journey with him for basically the entire drama, can't help but still feel some emotions for his character. And even if he as Yesha didn't get a lot of screentime, he did sooo well! I am beyond amazed with that duality of his cute, innocent, but a little hot-tempered guy to that dark and evil side of him. It really is no joke.

Edit: Finally watched til the end and ofc our Tongshuang really did have genuine feelings and sense of closeness to the gang 🥺

I decided to drop this after today's eps bc man... I feel like the story is so messy, like idek what the plot is at all and where it's going. And then there are too many filler eps imo that actually could just be cut out of the drama imo. Very skippable. Maybe you are the same? You should drop if you aren't feeling it as well. I was hoping after the war (where we are halfway thru the drama) that I will like it a lot better but tbh it's not doing it for me so I gave up.

My only complaints is the dragging of the poison (didn't bother me too much tho) and Kongyun's screentime as well OOF... The plot twists were so good but man I can't help but feel sad for our gang who put so much trust in Tongshuang~ And him having been one of my faves hurt but dang what a crazy plot twist indeed! Maybe we should've gotten more of Kongyun than Tongshuang as part of the gang don't you think LOL 🤣🤪

Haha yes. I ended up loving him. One of my favorite "villains". I still can't forget hating him in TBOY tho like 😭 So it was nice to see him in other roles where he's a likable "baddy " 😜

Maybe the romance? For some reason I couldn't see it. But the FL grows on me towards the end. And idk what it is, but some eps were kinda boring but it may have just been me... it's bc of what happened in 3/4 of the drama that I enjoyed the most. Idk how to explain it lol but I think it's a drama you'll love if you like revenge, scheming, and plotting. I do end up liking it more tho maybe from ep 35...? So it's really not that bad tbh. It's just what happens in 3/4 I end up missing in the last 1/4.
