I love and cherish the bond Shi Guang and Chu Ying shared. But boy was I not ready to get slapped with very little screentime between Shi Guang and Yu Liang omg these guys deserved a second season so that we could have seen more of them together to see a bond btw them that has grown and will continue to grow as they stay by each other's side for longer than they did here since they were basically always separated. Also as a third ML, I felt his screentime was lacking too, tho for sure despite it, he had a very strong presence that makes you immediately find him as one of the vital characters of the story.

Overall, this was such a refreshing drama to watch. I've always wanted to watch it and I am happy to say it is very much worth it in the end hehe.

ALSO LOVED THE LAST EP!!!!! The saddest part was Chu Ying disappearing and never coming back :(

I'll add Lin Ziye and Lai Weiming here as well where they reunited in Blossoms of Power. Haven't got around to watching it much, but from what I've seen, they did well and other comments say it as well!!

Would also love to add how Hou Minghao and Xu Zhenxuan are reuniting in a main trio in Immortalis which will ne super exciting! I can tell they're gonna skay their roles! It's gonna be so fun and interesting to see them tgt here with a lot more screentime this time!

Overall it's nice to see the cast and how they're doing well in other projects, watching them grow in various areas of their acting careers!

Ep 29 had me frustrated that it was really gonna lower my rating... And how they did it felt rushed.

Thank goodness it was all fake tho but tbh I kinda need explanation for how they managed to trick everyone and how it all looked real. I know about the illusion and fragmented memories from previous eps. But how does it work here? Glad M9 planned all this tgt now. It's such a relief.

How similar is it to the GOTD comedy? The comedy in there was gold! Also really enjoyed Immortal Ascension!!

It makes sense to think that way tbh. I mean I am on both ends of the stick too for the most part lol. I consider things like how these two prob have really busy schedules esp when you think about their popularity as actors. And also, two seasons don't often happen. But that isn't to say it's impossible to happen in the future. I guess you never know. Just gotta take the author's words with a grain of "salt" until there really is some big, clear clue or announcement about it.

And I would say the same that a prequel isn't encessary as it's basically them doing missions which would still be fun. But since we are told about how they were like, it isn't as much. But maybe we'd learn more about their younger days too that we haven't learned yet. For instance, I know Hailou lived a tough life before meeting Haiqi where his family were living in an area where food was scarce to the point of cannibalism (ofc that would be taken out...) which is really sad. So yeah, we really didn't have everything in the drama sadly. But since that's in the original script, maybe it's not needed (or can't even be told anyway) anymore.

But yeah, if there's gonna be one, a sequel would def be more fitting bc of the open ending. How did Zhang Qiling manage to bring Haiqi back to life? We were just mourning for her only to get her back last minute. Now where is Haixia? When Hailou noticed he was stabbed from the opposite side of his heart, did he also do the same for Haixia so he wouldn't die (meaning not being able to come back to life or whatever). I think from the clip he actually might've. It was bc of Heixia he had to kill him. Not to mention, how was there no funeral nor even a grave to be seen for our Haixia 💔

Lol sorry I wrote a lot 😭😭 But yeah, let's see what happens in the future... I will take what NPSS said with a grain of salt (with still a bit of hope even if it seems impossible) until there really is some actual movement.

NPSS talking about a possibility of another season and he's thinking about doing a prequel?? 🤯 I mean, I knew this, but he just mentioned it in a livestream as if he's more likely to go with this... No, but honestly? To see them before all the chaos would be so nice stoooop omg 🥺 But then again, I also want a sequel, bc it felt like there was more to come with the open ending it had 😭 Lol if it's me, I'd be in such a dilemma... Or else they plan to make two more seasons (which was also thought about)? 🤔

Also the longest hyperfixation I had for a drama was Fangs of Fortune... the biggest standout was also the MLs' soulmate bond 💔 And then in NBDA we got some of those parallels too so I guess it was meant for me to be hyperfixated on this drama for a long time too lmao 😭😭

Does anyone else think Bao Shangen and Ma Qiuyuan look similar to each other?? I see no one ever talking about it... I watched BSE in WoF and GtG, and just watched MQY in KTTPH, and I couldn't help but feel they look so similar like they could legit play as siblings! Crazy to see how in MOGA (Melody of Golden Age) the FL's best friend is played by Xiao Yan while in here (who ended up being an ex-best friend) it's played by Fan Shiran, and both actresses played as best friends in one of my favorite modern dramas, Eight Hours lol...

Just started ep 1 and I AM LOVING IT!! And I am seriously loving Ding Yuxi's character here omg this guy... He's so cool and funny!!

Finally finished the drama. Well, the last eps weren't the greatest imo. Idk where it started but somewhere ep 30+ it felt like a mess / disaster lol... And that SML's presence was the main reason for it for me. I do feel some bad things could've been prevented which sucked. But yeah, it's a HE so there's that!!

And since u asked about the romance, I will say I like both leads but they each can be annoying in their own way when it comes to their relationship lol it's like sometimes I won't like the action of one of them towards the other and be angry at them ("Why did you do this?"), and then sometimes it's the same with the other character too lol. But when they do have romantic moments, they can actually be adorable. Anyways, it's a bit of a mess honestly (execution, script, relationship, etc.), but for me it's worth watching overall. Idk about you lol since my opinion isn't yours, so do what you feel like doing (to decide to watch it or not)!

I also mainly watched this for TRTS and I'm glad I did bc I wanted to watch it b4 that drama so now I'll start it! I do feel that drama is gonna be a lot better too (prob an improvement in their relationship as well)!!

Dude's eye acting is insane... He really shows how much he loves the FL and is also very protective of her. Even the FL can be reckless a lot of the time and ML tries to warn her but she does the dangerous things anyway which leads to him coming in to save her. Kinda reminded me of how Hailou used to be reckless in the beginning too and how Haixia would tell him things like "Be careful" "Don't make me always clean up after your mess" "Don't touch [insert thing] because it can be dangerous", etc. lol. It did get a bit repetitive in MOGA but she finally understood the consequences eventually. Imagine seeing Haixia actually always cleaning up after Hailou's mess (before all the tragedy happened) tho lol this makes me lowkey wanna see it even if I may get a little stressed with this guy (since we know Haixia would be very selfless and protective of Hailou despite all that). Bc in the end he learned from his mistakes 😭 But with how they did it in NBDA, rather than being stressed with Hailou, for some reason, he was the type to amuse me lol might be his funny personality!
