left my heart in a state of colossal turmoil
I'm writing this after shreding a mug ( lets be real a liter) of tears or something. I hadn't even finished the series when the tears kicked in. Personally I'm not AT ALL someone who likes to cry or people who cry, but the ending....just. broke. me.This series was.......in more than just a few ways.....of retreat for me. The first few minutes of me, right after watching the last episode, was distraught. Usually I don't watch dramas that are still in the phase of being aired, due to the uncertainty of the endings, but I just had a feeling back then....that this would be great. And honestly it was, until the last 12 mins of ep 12.
This series................it's got that essence to it which says: Those transient years of teenage are like the golden leaves of fall. It's a series which lets you read into the tinest interactions between the leads, defying the reality (in the story) and keep hoping that it's gonna be possible, wishing that those hugs, lingering touches, stolen glances turn out to be something more than just brotherly love.
In the 11 eps, Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang slowly learn about eachother, through ups and downs, the darkess of their pasts, and slowly become eachother's safe place. *giggles* From the very first day the chemistry between them was very much something that only a chemistry-blind, low eq dumbo would not be able to see. The tranquility of the series was so satisfying, somehow it makes you fall in love with the process of falling in love as a 17 year old when you feel like you can be at the top of the world. The slow and steady unraveling of the 'emmotionally fort'-ed Tian and the 'love deprived' Wang, gets you soo deep into the story that you don't even realise before you start noticing every minor detail, every small act, looking into the meaning. Grinning and screaming at the screen.
The cinematography, was very very very beautifully placed. The steadiness and the stillness so crystally placed. Changing weathers with changing feelings. Beautiful. Growing emotions with growing times.
The last 12 mins though, killed me. Big brother, broken bracelets, intentional failing to change classes, and distancing.
In many ways the series has left open an option for a season two and I would watch it again even breaks my heart.

I guarantee it's gonna make you ☺
Honestly idk why some people felt that Phayu and Pai have a father son relationship. I mean I was almost at the verge of not watching this and making a good big mistake. Its just that once Rain said that Phayu was acting like "daddy" which soon he felt was better to replace with "hubby". And once Pai said "my son" while talking to Sky but clearly the situation he was in when he said that ...... no way he meant it in any other way than just a way of referring. Plus ig people should use their logic once before thinking that Phayu and Pai have a father son relationship, I mean srsly look at their age gap!!! Considering this it would mean Phayu was less than 4 when Rain was born!! Come on!!!It was just so wonderful how this special ep showed that both Sky and Rain can be demanding sometimes as well. It showed the perfect balance between two people in a relationship and how valued it feels when your significant other tries to make up to you. It's also a very satisfying little ep. on how misunderstandings might lead to a bigger misunderstandings.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO WATCH IT (as long as you are ok with moderate 18+ content)

You can watch it if you like violent mls and enduring fls
This is the first time I was compelled to write a review after watching any drama. Well I watched this drama hoping to see the ml being rude and hurtful towards a fl who endured it all while being the purest and best soul in the whole drama and at a point when she gives up the ml would understand all her sacrifices and be regretful for being to mean to the fl (but it was too short in this drama)I mean seriously what's wrong with these people??!! The Kiew's father, Peat (the ml), Kris (one of the ml's friend), Chaya (another of the ml's friends) no body had a control over themselves. I understand emotions play a huge role in our decisions and often ppl become to headstrong not to loose and end up doing things that they regret later. But just HOW MANY TIMES???!!!
Firstly, Peat was angry at his dad for having a mistress and not paying attention to his mother. Then, after he found out that his 'father' was not his actual biological father, instead of being grateful of his 'father' for raising him like his own son for so many years he runs away. After that, finally as he starts to normalize a bit he reads his dead mother's diary where she writes how his 'father' left her on their wedding night to find Kiew's mother which is why his mother uses another man (Peat's biological father) to have Peat. And instead of focusing on both the sides he only sees his 'father's' fault, for god's sake HIS MOTHER TOO SPENT THE NIGHT WITH SOMEONE ELSE!! So biased of him. Then when he sees how Kiew loves him, he hurts her to hurt his 'father' even if that meant burning himself. He keeps hurting Kiew by being with Chaya (touching her, hugging her, taking care of her) and he even when to the extent of kissing her without her cloths, while he expects Kiew not to be touched by any other man or to go out for business dinners with other men (Honestly he sounds exactly like a psycho). He has some serious trust issues.
On the other hand Chaya keeps loving Peat when he thinks of her nothing more than his friend. She even eliminated other girls who tried to get near Peat (so violent), she even threatened the Kiew (the fl) by almost downing her in a sink full of water. She even never paid any attention to Kris who loved her so much and even expressed it a few times. Then one day Chaya, Kris and Kiew's father stumble upon Peat and Kiew in bed together. After which Peat declares his marriage with Kiew stating that he loves her. Even after all this Chaya believes that Peat loved her (plus all her friends told her that he dosen't). Then miraculously, Peat turns up on Chaya's doorsteps on his wedding night abandoning Kiew and says that he actually loves Chaya. And even after listening to his whole plan of hurting Kiew and her dad (who is Peat's 'father'), she still believes that he loves her, while all his actions clearly state that he loves Kiew. Plus her character is so bad. Acting to get attention, even shamelessly go to Peats office and being affectionate with him in front of his co-workers.(I get it that she was doing it all for love but a love that goes again normal human morals isn't something pure ad true)
As for Kris, even after repetitive rejections by Chaya for so many years he still goes on to hurt his friend to the extent of killing him. Why? Because he did the inevitable (in the end Peat tells Chaya that he can never lover her because he loves Kiew) when Chaya is found to have Leukemia. He couldn't even tell that she was just using him at her time of need. (And to think I thought that he was the second most mature after Kiew, now I think it's definitely Katha).
Well I can't take talking negative anymore so I'll just say what I liked about this show too:
(1) I really really really really loved Pa and Katha's story
(2) I found Kiew to be the really mature type ml
(3) It had a happy ending
(4) The ml really loved the fl even though he was being a jerk about it
(5) The starting part of the drama was really nice
(6) An understanding father
