Here's how I wish the show actually went: -Kuea's family is going bankrupt so they ask Lian's family for help. Their solution is arranged marriage for easier transfer of assets. They agree to divorce after the issue is settled because the parents don't actually approve bc of their traditional views, etc. -They are put in this arranged engagement but they both don't like eachother. Then slowly, as they get to know eachother and live together, they start to discover each other's secrets (Kuea being Kirin, Lian being a soft, idk just anything), and they start falling in love. -In the end, they both actually want to get married instead of getting a divorce, but the parents are against it and they work together to get over this conflict.
Personally, I would've enjoyed that more. We would get more drama and an actual conflict to resolve rather than miscommunication taking over the entire show... oh, and my fave enemies to lovers trope hehe
The acting, production, and quality is AMAZING. The last scene and Zee's expression when he turned around to look at his dad, oscar worthy. My heart BROKE. But the script itself is shit af and here's why: -They keep dragging the same damn conflict throughtout most of the show -Everyone lying to eachother and not communicating is getting annoying, and is overdone in this show. -A public proposal infront of all these old people Kuea dont even know, giving him so much anxiety is such a terrible idea, and way to take the spotlight from the dad lmao -Yi-Diao dad conflict/back story is still confusing af and I'm over their couple -Nuea-Syn kiss was so nice but again, wish it was a private moment. Having the friends right there took me out of the moment tbh.
I saw everyone raving about this show so gave it a chance, and I can see why. Absolutely wonderful. I liked some sense of realism in the way it was filmed/directed. I do wish Daun shared more about himself with Siwon because it would explain lot. Anyways, I will definitely rewatch for the cute scenes. The actors did a great job! Oh, and the implied relationship between the sister and Yunjeong was cute but I wish we got more of them! They were so cute. More GLs pls!!
It's just a cute, feel-good BL web drama... I don't think I was expecting anything more personally so it doesn't disappoint overall.. yes the editing is wonky and needs improvement but the couple makes up for it with their cuteness.
If you keep watching for a few more episodes, you will see their acting and chemistry are evolved and improved…
i agree! I honestly can't remember ep 1 anymore bc so much happened since but definitely give it another chance if you have the time. It's a good story
Came here 2 days ago as I randomly found this show and gave it a try... as the others have said, the rating should…
Okay that was the saddest happy ending I've seen in a while. The last two episodes, esp the last scenes had me bawling my eyes out. The fact that he came to die in the same place hurt so good and I was so emo omg...
I have my qualms about the way the show was edited/pacing, like some scenes, I wasn't sure where they came from and what the timeline was... made me a bit confused. And yes, the show was a bit slow paced and very long episodes but overall, the story was great.
Came here 2 days ago as I randomly found this show and gave it a try... as the others have said, the rating should be higher. This was such a great show!
Disclaimer: if you're looking for the typical BL, definitely don't look here. It's BL yes, but it's so much more and there's so much complexity and each character's trauma that slowly unfolds. I loved the plot twists as well. Also, please watch the Uncut/Extended version, bc otherwise, you will miss key points in the plot.
The acting was great in my opinion. I remember when I first saw Nut (Phob) in Oxygen, I was put off and wasn't sure if I should watch this, however, I soon realized that it was his character I didn't like in that show. Here, he's so great and I fell in love with his character and the actor. Same goes Plan (Phat) and esp Faii (Dream).. she was phenomenal.
I will leave my review under this comment bc it will contain spoilers about the ending.
Idk why I'm back here but I can't get over the show and it deserves a higher rating than it's at right now! Yall need to fix the rating bc it's not doing the show justice!
Also, don't believe baseless rumors about Jaechan because we know many of the bullying rumors only surfaced after an idol got popular. People love to piggyback off of others success and bring them down, just for 2 seconds of fame. Unless there's concrete proof, let's not bash him.
Ok just finished episode 9 so I will be posting my thoughts in the reply so I don't spoil
First of all, yes the cinematography was BREATHTAKING this episode but the the part I really disliked was the "love scene" between Fah and Thorn.. could've done without the slowmo and close ups on the eyes.. I wish it was smooth and not choppy but meh
Also, can we get a new problem for Aii and Saen? Like we've been stuck on this long distance BS for the past 2 episodes and even in the preview Aii is like nah nvm, which is so annoying like seriously? You're willing to give up your dream scholarship for boy? ok then...
Anyways, I'm complaining too much but one last thing I wanted to add (and maybe it's just me who feels this way but), I feel like the tension/chemistry between Dom and Vee kinda died out over the last few episodes and when they kissed I just felt a bit empty... I'm not saying they should've kissed earlier but just that I didn't feel that chemistry anymore but maybe just me...
this is literally me being obsessive over the show but according to the countdown clock ep 6 should be aired on Viki right now but it's not and i'm sad T_T can someone tell me if they know how long it will take?
ok, first of all, wtf was that ending?? like was that a dream or what? It was so abrupt and didn't make sense. Like either make it sad or happy. Don't make the audience confused... The cast deserved better, the audience deserved better, but again, this production company disappointed us with the sheer blandness of their storyline. Literally like all their past BL projects, this was badly edited and scripted. You can't take a vampire storyline and make it THIS bland come on... you had the actor that played an iconic vampire character in the past... why not continue with something like that instead of this boring, bland sappy shit?
The only saving grace for this show was the chemistry between the leads and that kiss. Other than that, absolute disappointment.
