Im done with this show, the overused long lost family member trope has ruined my favorite part about the drama,…
For you to quit when there are only 12 episodes left would mean you wasted your time watching 38 episodes. ^_^

A little patience. Real life is not all sweets and flowers. And these things do happen in real life and is a serious issue.

I am #ActuallyAutistic so does my opinion count? I give it 10 out of 10 from episode 1 to the current episode 12.

i remeber some one saying the possibility of "naksu" and bu Yeon being twins, are a smaller theory would be Jang…
That would be highly unlikely since Nak Su was already a little kid before Jang Uk and Bu Yeon were born. (At least the previous episodes seem to hint that Jang Kang and Bu Yeon were born on the same year if not the same day.)

Also, when Jang Kang left after sealing Jang Uk's magic, he supposedly tried to find the daughter of his friend (the star chronicler, Nak Su's father). He realized something … but he failed to find her, at least according to Maidservant Kim.

I was wondering about this part too? Mudeok experienced the headache. The door opened could be because of her…
Yep. Their mother can only open it if she acts on it. She has better control of her magic to ensure the door won't open with just her presence.

But in Bu Yeon's case it's different. More likely she is spending much of her energy in sealing Nak Su's powers which is probably why the magical doors can sense her even from a distance.

If Nak Su didn't react at that time and the way the scenes played out one after another while she was having a headache, then it's possible the magical worm worked. But the way the scenes were arranged while she's also having a headache suggests that she's the one the magical doors reacted to. The magical worm did not work.

There is also the possibility that Bu Yeon's powers are enhanced whenever she's within the Jin territory. Since hers and Nak Su's are equal, she was probably getting stronger than Nak Su, which could be one reason why she did not immediately get a headache. At this point (compared to the first time they visited Jin), they are so attuned to each other it took time for Bu Yeon's energy to be much stronger (and also, the first time, her energy was already boosted when she touched the broken jewel and then was also the one who carried it).

Again … just speculations.

No matter how much I prepared myself for episode 38, it still hurts and I'm so angry at the system.

This "legal relation" law is not only present in Korea but in other countries as well, most specially in Asia-Pacific. To think that this concept originated from the West in the early 1900s yet Asia-Pacific countries are the ones who take it too seriously without exceptions.

Sans inheritance issues, if you're not blood related, it should not be an issue. If there are things that may make it problematic, then all parties involved can make a legal agreement about it.

This is specially sad in Korea, prior to the '90s amendments, they can not even marry anyone who share the same surname even if they have no blood relations at all (or if they are too far from each other in the family tree).

Oooh, good catch!

Maybe … just maybe … Bu Yeon and Nak Su are merging?

Or … Bu Yeon is slowly disappearing having achieved her goal in changing Nak Su? (Which would explain how Nak Su was able to pull her sword in the preview.)

Yep, definitely her presence.

When she first showed up in front of the door, she didn't even raised her hand or stood near, and it simply opened for her.

Bu Yeon's energy is so strong while inside the Jin territory that even the door can sense her presence without her doing anything and while letting Nak Su have control of the body.

I'm actually suspecting the Bu Yeon soul is not the original Bu Yeon, but the soul of the original priestess who summoned magic and the ice stone from heaven.

OR, Bu Yeon is the reincarnation of the original priestess and because Jang Gang used the ice stone to summon Bu Yeon's soul back, it also unlocked her memories of the past (which would include her energy too).

They're wasting too much time on fake daughter plot 😤 I'm really annoyed with the fact that it was JBY who…
Yep, this arc does not have to take too much screen time. They could also address it earlier without it affecting the other plots.

At some point they stretched it just to get 20 episodes. Like episode 15, nothing much was revealed in it, it was just a fan service for those looking for romance. Then in episode 16, romance took a back seat again, which only sealed that ep15 was a fan service.

Yep. This particular arc has taken too much screen time. They could've compressed it and addressed it earlier, the rest of the arcs won't be affected much in any case.

Even Jin Moo was surprised the door opened. He only expected a slight movement.

The timing was really bad. It could've foiled the plans of Jin Moo.

the better thing to do is to change nothing. all they need to know is the true, what's the problem with living…
Correct. And how they touched on the nasty business of "legal relationships". That whole idea is a plague.

If I understood it correctly, it all started because of inheritance disputes, and the idea entered legal circles in the early 1900s.

Here in the Philippines, there is a very popular family clan who have an adopted family member (who himself/herself became well-known on their own right). He carries the clan name but agreed in writing he is not qualified to receive clan inheritance. They made it clear that way and all parties (the adopted and the real blood-related members) are good with it. They live happily together.

From how I see it, the legal aspect should only affect inheritance and rights; and can be overruled if all parties involved put into writing other agreements. It should not affect marriages between non-blood related members, like in this case, blood children and adopted children.

Sadly, this "legal is final" view was copied in many countries.

I also wonder, who is the biological father of Bu Yeon?

And the interesting revelation: Cho Yeon's father is the brother of Shaman Choi!

Also, Nak Su is correct when she questioned herself if she can still point the sword to anyone like she used to.

She has changed.

I think that's what Bu Yeon wanted. Probably is the reason why Bu Yeon is sealing Nak Su's power. The old Nak Su, the one trained by Jin Moo, is cold, heartless, and full of anger, hatred, and revenge.

What they need is a Nak Su who have something to fight for, a family to protect, a fair judge of character, and reasonable mage. A Nak Su with one objective, to destroy the ice stones, to protect Jang Uk, and to defeat Jin Moo.

The appearance of Nak Su at that moment of Jin-door test was really bad timing. It looked like the fake Bu Yeon wouldn't have opened it all, not even to "move it a little" if the real Bu Yeon was not there.

The Crown Prince. Looks like Jin Moo wouldn't be able to trick him at all. He is far more level-headed than he initially appeared. He is not blind to the subtle things happening around him.

I am starting to question if he is actually the biological son of the Queen. For him to subtlety go against the Queen is not something you would see from a biological mother-son.

#1 weakness of Nak Su: she thinks highly of herself.

Because of this, she did not bother to check the identity of the body she's controlling and why she is experiencing things she obviously know is not her own power.

Imagine if she found clues early on.
