I liked almost everything about this drama except the level of abuse committed by Xiang Liu towards Xiao Yao and her just kind of rolling with it and forgiving every single time.
It's excusing domestic abuse. It's not romantic, it's horrifying. The guy is an abuser and no amount of pretty moon watching can make up for the beatings he gave her.
If any of you romanticising this type of abuse find someone like this in real life - run. Run before he kills you.

This is why I also enjoyed Moonlight Mistique and When Destiny Brings a Demon - both had couples that stood strong and had an unbreakable bond. I love to see couples trusting each other.

Maybe people are waiting for the end before final vote? Too many dramas start strong and the fizzle out.

I hope they keep this level of quality, this is one of the better dramas I've watched recently. If it ends as strong as it is now, I'm giving it a 10.

Maybe Tingyun and YJX were switched at birth, because there's no other way to explain how her timid mother and idiot father produced such a smart, courageous woman, and how the intelligent Madam Yu and her scheming husband produced the failure that is YJX.

The beginning was great, the middle good, didn't make it to the end since I got bored. But I don't think you'll miss much if you don't watch the final episodes, it kind of wraps up around 2/3.

He really has an excellent ability to portray a stunning range of emotions, from very innocent or silly to serious and even murderous. This drama has certainly given him the opportunity to display his talent.

Ok, so I bingewatched to episode 17, and now I paused at 17:14 because I think it's from here that the poo is really going to hit the fan.
Could some nice soul please spoil me with what's to come in episode 17 and 18? This is making me so stressed 😫 I need to know what happens so I can get emotionally prepared 😅

This drama has taken over my life - so much so I finally made an account here just to vote for it. Great chemistry between FL & ML, I loved them in Melody of Golden Age already, they just got better. Can't wait to see how this develops!
