The actors deserved a better script and director and are the only reason I didn’t give the film a lower score. Most of the film is plodding and disjointed with poor or confusing segues, undeveloped relationships and scenes, little chemistry between the leads. Only the scene with the father is well acted and moving, but it really didn’t fit the rest of the film. Then an ending is just tacked on. It’s a film that doesn’t know quite what it wants to be and never finds its focus or heart.
