Oh my gosh and your profile is Cheng Yi!! My god yu sifeng is my standard, my number 1. and I always rewatch love and redemption at least once a month! Hahahahaha I love Cheng Yi so much lol so we're so the same🤩

Most people know and love Xiao Zhan from *The Untamed*, which was such a huge breakout role for him. I actually never watched it, not because I dislike the drama or have anything against the genre, but simply because I personally prefer heterosexual romance dramas. So this was actually my first Xiao Zhan drama, and honestly, I went into it thinking he might be a little overrated. 😭
BUT after watching him with Yang Zi, I completely understand the hype now. Their chemistry was just SO good, the kind where you can genuinely feel the attraction and emotions between their characters. 🥹❤️ Their scenes together had me completely invested, and Xiao Zhan really impressed me. I can finally see why he’s so loved and why he became such a huge star. And of course, I already love Yang Zi, so seeing the two of them together made this even better for me! 😂❤️
I still can’t believe I watched Love and Redemption by accident. 😂 I started it with absolutely no expectations and was SO sure I was going to drop it. I honestly didn’t think this was going to be my kind of drama at all, but somehow I ended up becoming completely obsessed with it, especially with Sifeng and his love for Xuanji.
Sifeng… OH MY GOD. 😭❤️ The way he loves her is something else. His patience, devotion, loyalty, and the way he keeps choosing her over and over again… oh, to be loved like Sifeng loves. 🥹 The man was DOWN BAD from beginning to end and I was suffering right there with him. 😂
And Cheng Yi absolutely delivered a MASTERCLASS. His acting as Sifeng was incredible, especially when it came to his eyes and all those tiny expressions. He could convey so much without even saying anything. The emotional scenes were on another level, and I genuinely felt his pain. He made Sifeng’s love feel so sincere and heartbreaking that I completely understood why people are still obsessed with this character.
I also have to say, they really don’t make dramas like this anymore. There was something so special about Love and Redemption. The storytelling, the characters, the emotional intensity, the devotion, the angst… it had that epic feeling that is so hard to find now. It was the kind of drama that completely consumes you and stays with you even after you finish it.
I came into this drama thinking, “I’ll probably drop this.” And somehow I left it completely obsessed with Sifeng and Cheng Yi. 😂 This drama really had no business making me feel this much. One thing about it though, Sifeng deserves the world. ❤️
I went into Rising With the Wind mostly because of Gong Jun, but I ended up staying for so much more. No spoilers, but Jiang Hu and Xu Si are such interesting characters to watch because their personalities are so different, yet their dynamic works so well. Their interactions kept me invested the whole time.
Gong Jun was, of course, amazing as Xu Si. He has this effortless charm that makes it so easy to watch him, and he really knows how to make a character like Xu Si feel captivating.
But I have to give special praise to Zhong Chuxi as Jiang Hu. She is GORGEOUS, elegant, and has such a strong charisma on screen. She has that kind of presence where you naturally keep watching her even when she isn’t doing much. I also really loved how she portrayed Jiang Hu. She gave the character so much personality and made her feel like an actual person rather than just a typical female lead.
And honestly, this drama is the reason I became a HUGE Gong Jun fan. 😂 I had seen him before, but something about Xu Si completely got me. His looks, his charm, his acting, the attitude… yeah, I finally understood the Gong Jun hype. 😭❤️
Overall, definitely a drama I’m glad I watched. The leads, the characters, and especially their chemistry made this one really memorable for me. And yes, I came for Gong Jun and somehow ended up becoming a full blown Gong Jun fan. 😂
I’ve been watching Asian dramas for a really long time, so I’d say I have pretty high standards when it comes to dramas. 😂 I actually started The Oath of Love because I was genuinely curious about why Xiao Zhan is so famous. I went into it thinking I’d probably drop it pretty quickly, or if I did finish it, it would only be because of Yang Zi since I already adore her as an actress.
But wow… I was SO wrong. 😭 I ended up loving this drama way more than I expected. It was exactly what I needed at this point, a simple, warm, heartwarming romance that just made me happy.
The father storyline also really touched me. I lost my father when I was very young, so some of those scenes hit me in a way I wasn’t expecting. There were moments where I genuinely had to pause because it felt too personal and emotional.
And Xiao Zhan… okay, NOW I understand. 😂 Of course he’s ridiculously good looking, but what really got me was his acting. His micro expressions are EVERYTHING. He can say so much just with his eyes and the smallest change in his expression. Yang Zi, as always, was amazing. I’ve always loved her acting, but there were moments where she felt so real that I actually had to pause because I was getting too emotional.
But honestly, what kept me watching was their chemistry. WOW. They really felt like an actual couple. Their skinship was so natural and effortless, and there was just something about the way they looked at and interacted with each other that felt incredibly real. I was SOLD. 😭 This is definitely going on my rewatch list, which says a lot because I’m not that easy to impress. 😂 And Xiao Zhan… you officially gained another fan. I finally understand why you’re so famous!!! 😭❤️
