I honestly can't with how incompetent the whole prosecution is lol. WEAR THESE DAMN GLOVES! They keep talking about evidence contamination, yet they only wear gloves when they feel like it. I also can't with Chae Ha. Like, dude was in the police academy, wasn't he? Don't they teach you how to disarm someone with a knife? Don't they teach the basics of self-defence and hand-to-hand combat? Same with athletic ability, you need to be in at least decent shape to pass the exams. So why is he so defenseless? Dude got stabbed TWICE, and one of those could have been completely avoided with a simple shove. But it was fun! And after all, that's all that matters. Given the limited runtime, the crime aspect wasn't too bad, I just wish it had been longer so they could have fleshed out the plot more.

From my understanding, Tae Seon's father was killed by Tak Seong Ung (the older prosecutor and Tae Seon's mentor/father figure) so Ja Hyeon could manage the casino without problems. Chae ha's dad killed himself in prison because he likely couldn't bear being accused of killing his friend, a truly helpless situation.
So, to summarise whole crime case. Ja Hyeon comes from a chaebol family and was in love with Seong Ung, but her father didn't approve of them. When she got pregnant her father made her terminate the pregnancy, but she went behind his back and had a son, meanwhile Seong Ung was sent to Russia by him to separate the couple. That's when Ja Hyeon went completely bonkers, stabbed her father and was kinda separated from her family and I'm not quite sure how, but she was put in charge of the casino project. It's not clear if she was in contact with Seong Ung the whole time, or they reunited sometime before casino. I believe that at the time there must have been already a casino in the vicinity and Tae Son's dad was an important figure in it, so to clear the path for Ja Hyeon, Seong Ung killed him and framed Chae Ha's dad. Ja Hyeon and Seong Ung clearly managed the casino together (he from the shadows) and had their hands in drug smuggling using Seong Ung's contacts from Russia. Somewhere around this time Ja Hyeon's husband (arranged by her father) talked with the OB/GYN that delivered her son and found out the truth, so as to not lose the inheritance Seong Ung killed both the doctor and Ja Hyeon's husband. I don't think it was clearly stated when, but they reconected with their son (who we later found out was Song Ha Neul), but they only used him for a dirty job like getting rid of a body (russian smuggler) and keeping an eye on Tae Seon. I don't get what was the deal with Yun Gyu Ho tho, did he lure Chae Ha into the building or was there really a witness? Idk he's sus and I don't know if it's to give us someone other than Song to be sus about or it there was truly smh off about the guy.
