Actually, this drama is quite different. There was a time skip in the second half, which feels different compared to the first half. I’m not sure how else to describe it, but the leads officially got together around ep 10. There’s a love triangle, both friends have feelings for the male lead. It added some tension. And there was another guy who likes the fl. Despite the twists, emotional moments, and the shift in tone after the time skip, the story still wraps up nicely. Everyone gets a happy ending.
The ex is absolutely despicable, just a downright terrible person. The level of audacity and hypocrisy is unreal. After everything he’s done, him and his family still has the nerve to act like the victim? It’s exhausting just watching him. I was glad not seeing him this ep only to watch the next ep preview
The ex is so annoying, and his audacity is disgusting. They should’ve cut him off in ep 1. Now we have to keep enduring and watching the annoying loser until the end.
This drama had so much potential but ended up being a major letdown. Since JP and YR were clearly meant to end up together from the start, their feelings should’ve been mutual early on rather than unnecessarily complicated. The writer dragged out the love triangle for too long, making the story feel repetitive and frustrating instead of emotional and meaningful.
And even after seven years, JH was still hung up on her feelings for JP which honestly made no sense. Their past relationship was already rushed and lacked depth, so it was hard to believe she couldn’t move on. The writer missed a huge opportunity to let her heal, and maybe explore something real with YS. The chemistry and potential were definitely there, but it seems wasted, I wonder if one episode could do justice to that now.
What’s even worse is how the writer chose to destroy the girls’ friendship over a guy. Turning such a strong and supportive bond into something bitter and competitive was disappointing. Sometimes, female friendships are rare to see portrayed genuinely in dramas, and this one had the chance to stand out but it was ruined for unnecessary drama.
Overall, the story could’ve been much better if it focused more on emotional growth, meaningful relationships, and the strength of friendship rather than recycling the same love triangle tropes.
I don't agree with JH's request to help her get close to JP, nor do I agree with someone's idea of helping someone…
Yeah, it feels like she needed some sort of approval before making a move. Because she could’ve just confessed to him directly. I'm not blaming anyone as well.
I still sense more of a friendship vibe from JP toward YR. He has always treated her that way — caring and comfortable, but not necessarily romantic. It just seems like they’ve grown closer after 7 yrs, yet I still believe their bond remains rooted in friendship. I think the people around JP constantly questioning whether he’s “just friends” with YR might make him start overthinking his feelings, wondering if there’s something more there. But in the midst of that confusion, JH who he has always genuinely loved will return, and that's the end I guess...
I actually think YR and JH (her brother’s friend) might end up together. I don’t believe JH’s character is there without purpose. His presence feels intentional, as though he’s meant to play a more significant role in YR’s story. YR could ultimately find peace and real affection in someone like him, someone who has quietly loved and supported her all along.
Seriously, don't trust the previews or teaser. I don't mind if YR and JP ended up together actually. Since it's just half of the series and his relationship with JH seemed so fast. If they give us good romance between him and YR then I don't mind.
Her sister choosing to act oblivious to the way their parents treated Xu Yan is inconsiderate. Naturally, she wouldn’t fully understand how that feels, since she has always been the favored child and wasn't in her shoes. Still, she doesn’t have the right to question Xu Yan for the choices she makes.
JP clearly has strong feelings for JH, so it’s hard to imagine him ever reciprocating YR’s feelings once he realizes the truth. Now that it has been confirmed that the teaser scenes between JP and YR were only imagination, it’s quite obvious that the two of them won’t end up together.
The real question now is whether JH will accept JP’s feelings after discovering that YR also likes him. JH cares deeply for YR, and their friendship is very important to her. Because of this, there’s a strong possibility that she might distance herself from JP in order to protect her bond with YR.
Another possibility is that JH could try to encourage or make JP and YR to end up together, believing that it would make YR happy. This drama is really unpredictable, all I want is for JH and YR to be happy
