This drama has great costumes, sets and a huge cast of beautiful women. Harem shows really give me the ick so I wont spend anymore time there. There were some handsome guys, ml stole the show for me in that regard. I'm only half way in but find some aspects of this drama really annoying. The fl character- not the actress- is so immature, what is she 15? It really grates on me. The prince's adopted sister, can't stand her. The Princess that married in just made the leads look bad, well until she passes out. You have some villains who aren't very clever, a storyline filled with drinking scenes that just annoyed me. I want more romance. Plenty of funny moments if you like comedy thrown in. I will get back to it, I did try to watch it when it first aired but chucked it in. I was likely more annoyed the first time. I've made it to episode 23, and well its becoming hard work watching what has become so hard to watch. The crass behaviour of all concerned at the restaurants. A rabble. Wasnt a fan of Hao Jia, she threw herself into this firepit from the start. She could lose her life 🤷♀️. Ive been doing quite a bit of ffwd, The leads "relationship" well its flat and boring. The rest are all abusive. And lets chuck in another drinking scene because you cant have too many of them. 🙄 the leads are more like side characters at this point. I just cant get invested in any of the characters. I was determined to see it through but I'm wavering.

The FL is supposed to be some sort of musical genius, but we are forced to watch her obnoxious sister on the harp. I only seem to like the jing guy. Its beyond ridiculous at this point, even they interrupted their own kiss. I was waiting for a phone to ring or a knock at the door. Regardless, I knew it wasn't happening. Now they are hiding their "relationship". Im giving this the flick now. I may come back to it when I have absolutely nothing to do. Even his damn fine eyes can't keep me or Tings amazing voice.
Episode 20 and more of the same boring 💩 with added extra mouthing by the married couple I love to hate and want to see less of. No romance but plenty of walks down memory lane, of which I have totally lost interest in. I get it you are forever friends. Im so annoyed I dont want them together. Just stay scared and gutless, find people you have some chemistry with ffs. Show us Cheng Hui and Sheng Nina. Did they appear at all in this episode, Im so annoyed I cant remember. Those looking for slow burn dont look here there is no burn what so ever. These people skipped romance and passion and fell into elderly couple mode. BORING.
No. There is no burn here, its all about the feng couple who are rude and intrusive and are all about there petty squabbles and their total lack of awareness especially when its about the people closest around them. I hate them and want them to shut the fuck up. At this point Im ready to chuck this drama the only thing keeping me at this point are Zhang Xin Cheng's eyes.

This is getting too painful to watch, end of episode 14 and dont know if I can continue. I think at this point the "friendship" wont be the same. I would be putting a distance between us because it is so agonising. JSY suffering is palpable to me. TY seems to only just be aware now and seems to be on the run. Lets hope there is a breakthrough very soon 🙏
Just got to episode 11 and I think Im confused or they are? Lots of secrets and physical abuse which has lost me somewhat. When will daddy come out of seclusion and clear the air? And for those looking for kiss scenes, they arent close up maybe not even really happening, hard to say at this point as the ML is close to death. We know he wont die but its not this guys usual role to be so weak??? Anyway I will watch till the end of 12- we have 18 episodes- before I decide if Im chucking this. Yes we still have the chest but it wont keep me with this storyline.
ML treats the FL abominably considering he "needs" her. In comparison so good to the bitch sister. Hope he ends up with her and the FL ends up with the Jing guy. I know its my wishful thinking, but the ML character annoys me no end. He constantly moves the goal posts. FL is quite dopey. Both characters act like 15yr olds and look far from it.

I think it was marketed as rom com to bring more viewers. I dont do melodrama. Sad endings are out for me too. Ive stopped at episode 7 because I really couldnt see the "funny" in this. Am waiting till it finishes and if its a HE will continue. And before people jump on me, I have my own things to deal with, plus all the very real shit going on in the world. I watch rom coms to cheer me up and take me away from real life for a while.
