I think everyone was given the same piece, but it's the way each person plays it that sets one musician apart from another. But he undoubtedly won only because of the footnotes Choi wrote in his score, which set him apart from the others.

Check the tags before instead of expecting a story to cater to your expectations.
I was just sharing an honest, vulnerable feeling about being anxious, and instead of empathy ... I did check the tags. Knowing the genre doesn't mean I can't express a personal wish for a different focus. I just think the acting and the music are so incredible that they could easily carry the show without needing all the extra trauma.
I'm at the 4 1/2 Episode and getting a bit too anxious ... Why can't it be just about music, youth and friendship - instead we get a disturbed mother, an invaluable father, a hideous grandfather and disgusting violent sharks! ðŸ˜
I didn't like it and should've dropped at the very beginning. The characters were a little too over-the-top carituresque —his annoying family inspired by Cinderella's step family; the fake wife: wild, rude, and ungrateful - way too much; the expressionless faces of the two main characters throughout the series showing nothingness ... Add to it all a boring, annoying piano playing nonstop in the background and that whispering voiceover!
I'm on episode 5 because I wanted to binge-watch the whole thing. I don't understand the rating they gave it here. It's such an interesting series, so well-written, and—most of all—with incredible acting. . . why 8.2???
I hate it when I watch a Drama with a great story, actors, and scenery, but then some details keep distracting me from the story itself. I totally understand why he fell in love with her in the Joseon period. But in the modern era ... what is that? She behaves like a thug, dresses like not in the old style, not new, not from this era or this world. She walks like a child, eats like a pirate... how can anyone feel romantic about her? I´m on ep. 9 and so bored by her. I wish I could slap whoever directed the actress to play like this.
Best series in recent years!!!!! So satisfying with stellar performances. Great message and worthy every second of it. The kind of series that you cannot stop for anything!!!
As expected from most Asian dramas ... the ending sucks! It reminds me of the deception with The On1y One where the Director threw an awful ending expecting the approval of Ep 2, which never came!
I even thought he would refuse the award and say: "since our last competitor couldn't play I cannot accept it".

Low-budget production, very amateurish acting.
