Synopsis: The divine goddess and the god of the underworld are to be married. However, 3 nights before the wedding, FL sees her supposed to be husband making out with another woman (this is not a spoiler, happens 2 minutes into the drama). This leads to her breaking off their relationship, which the god of the underworld finds difficult to accept. Luckily, her old childhood friend is already waiting for his chance 😅😅😅
My opinion: Wow, that was disappointing and kind of anticlimactic. It was all about fl's scum ex. The romance between fl and 2ML fell totally flat. Only the (too short) ending was satisfying. Wish they had used more time for the ending plot.. ExML got way too much unnecessary screen time and dialog for my taste.
1. The costume design did a great job! As Kitty mentioned below, ML looked like Dongfang Qing Cang from “Love Between Fairy and Devil”. And the FL looked like the FL from “Deliberation of Love”. So you see, both characters look just fabulous (albeit with some makeup on their faces that took some getting used to lol)
2. The plot was very interesting and at times unique coupled with a beautiful love story, great chemistry and topped off with a little spicy nastiness! 😆🔥
3. I especially liked how ML's love was portrayed in his actions towards fl and especially in his facial expressions (with the evil/cold character's smiling warmly and becoming soft towards her) 🫠❤️
Some parts were a bit boring for my taste but overall (and with more than one extra plus points for the endearing father of FL) it’s definitely worth a watch ❤️
Guys, is this drama worth watching? Should I start it?
I'm actually not a big fan of Xianxia (because of the typical tropes like reincarnation, amnesia,…), but The Legend of Shen Li was completely different for me (and thankfully without the annoying tropes). I loved it from the beginning and it became one of my favorite dramas.
So you see, opinions differ and the bests advice is: just give it a try.
Synopsis: Because of the “Daqian Jade”, the paths of Crown Prince Li Yuanliang and the modern antique dealer Han Xue cross in the Daqian dynasty. A journey through the past and present and an interesting life begins! How will the crown prince cope in modern times?
The plot could have been better for my personal taste, but I really loved the costumes 😍❤️ And in the future, I would like to see more shorts with hot mermaids lol (hopefully they’ll use this trope more often)
God d*mn the ML is so hot and appealing! Saw him for the first time and am totally amazed by him 😍❤️🥵❤️😍 He made an awesome pair with the FL, their chemistry and romance was the best thing ever! I didn’t even care for the revenge plot anymore, I just wanted to see them interacting with each other, this was great ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
The plot wasn’t for me at all but wow, the ML looked so handsome (especially as general/ prince) 🥵❤️ Plus, the production quality is amazing for such a short drama!!
I watched it for the second time and I like the show, but I find it so funny that people always dismiss Japanese dramas because of “miscommunication” and this show is literally the biggest miscommunication drama ever. For example: Tine: *makes a long declaration of love* Sarawat: “You don't have to like me. Just open your heart to me” ( Eh what? Did you hear what Tine said? Didn‘t we just accomplish that already?) Next Episode: *Tine taking 10 steps back and still not sure about Sarawat*. (Ok, nope, obviously we didn’t accomplish that at all 🤦♂️)
