I'm usually ok with spoilers. It can be a bit of a shock if I come across them accidentally though. What about you?

To be honest, in the novel Cang Xuan seemed almost like a villain to me instead of a ML. I really didn't like how he treated the FL. I was surprised to find out that he's supposedly the ML and TSJ and XL are 2nd MLs. At least that's how someone explained it to me. I was told that the title refers to him, as he is the one who lost her forever, which means that the author saw him as the ML. I was surprised, because it didn't seem like that at all when I was reading the novel.

Anyway, he is my least favourite and if the drama is a true to the novel adaptation, it's not going to change.

I'd rather wait before starting, then wait for episodes to come out and then wait again for part two. There are still some dramas on my list that I have to watch anyway.

Her marrying both of them certainly would solve all the problems. 😝

I'm not watching LYF yet. I need both parts to be out. I don't have the patience to wait. But, I can tell you my opinion on the three based on the novel

1. Xiang Liu - was my favourite character. He was interesting and there was something heartbreaking about him.

2. Tu Shan Jing - was my pick for the FL. He was exactly the kind of person she needed. The person who would always put her first no matter what.

3. Cang Xuan - my least favourite of the three. He just wanted to control the FL and her life

That was exactly what I was thinking. Greek mythology is full of the things that the poster was ranting against

So I was rewatching the first episode (yes, again) and it just reminded me that Tantai Jin wanted his life to end most of his life, because he wanted to end the suffering. And then when he finally found something to live for, he had to make the choice to sacrisifice himself to protect the very things that gave his life meaning.

Exactly. It's sad how those people colour the world's view of religion, while as you have said the core of every religion (at least the ones I'm familiar with) teaches kindness, tolerance and acceptance.

D - despair

Woooow, that review was angry. And unnecessary. I always find it interesting that Christians forget that their religion originally teaches tolerance. That means that you have to accept that there are people in this world with different beliefs. Xianxia dramas are based on different beliefs.

If she watched this drama with an open mind (as she has claimed), she would have seen just how many beautiful lessons you can learn from it.

Also, I find it funny that a person critisizing this show for being 'satanic', chose a username related to Greek mythology. Because that's so close to Christian religion right?

Most likely just some troll looking to stir up trouble.

It hits you at random moments, doesn't it

Towards the end it definitely became a mess, but I still loved a lot of the caracters and Zhao Yao was my favourite. Bai Lu did an amazing job portraying her.

Is that what happened? Well, I can see why you're angry now. It's pathetic that they're ruining the rating of another drama just for petty hate.

If it is indeed on purpose, than it's just sad that people would go out of their way to do something like that. I never understood the need to go out of your way to hate something or someone to that point. Assuming that they're doing it, because they like something else better and hate that this drama has a better rating is even worse. Turning a positive feeling into a negative action. It's unfortunate.

It's possible that there are some people who genuinely didn't like it. Not everyone has the same taste. It's sad for those like us who absolutely loved the drama to see the ratings drop though.

I've been impressed by Luo Yun Xi since AOL and Bai Lu since The Legends, so I've been following their work for a while now. I usually only watch costume dramas, so when I saw this one being announced, it was a perfect match as it had two of my favourites in a setting I love watching. This was one of the dramas that I waited for impatiently.
