I agree. She remained true to her principles till the end. Her actions never bothered me and I knew she loved…
The only reason seems to be that it was a necessary catalyst to start a chain of events that end up leading to her decision to put the spikes in his heart. Her actions didn't make sense, but they sure led to some great scenes later on. I just wish the writer had found a more logical way to make it happen.

That's where the script writers might have made a mistake. It's indeed not clear in the drama and out of character for LSS. Especially since her relationship with TTJ had developed to a point where it was unnecessary. Her actions may have been necessary in the book though, because as far as I understood, they changed TTJ's character a lot. He's much colder and more merciless in the book. I do agree that it makes no sense in the drama though. Seeing as TTJ's character was changed and we were given no explanation to her protectiveness of XL other that the fact that he looks like GYJW.

I definitely agree that based on the drama, I also couldn't understand why she was so adamant about saving Xiao Lin, but I read (I think in one of the forums here) that there was a reason why she was so protective. Her father apparently told her that Gongye Ji Wu was undergoing a sort of trial in that period of time and if he doesn't pass, he'll never be reborn as Gongye Ji Wu. I don't know the details. Maybe someone who read the book can explain.
Man, I'm so tired of the Li Susu hate. Like, I know everyone has the right to their own personal opinion, but…
I absolutely agree. The position she was in was complicated and the decisions she made are a testament to her upbringing and moral character. It's clear she loved him. A lot. But she couldn't afford being blinded by that love.
Can someone be a kind a soul a tell me if this show is worth to watch, because if the story is shit I am out.
I would definitely recommend it, although you'll need to prepare for some heartbreak. I personally loved it, but whether it's worth it can only be determined by watching the drama and deciding yourself.
I tried watching this drama three times. I start, but can't get past the first 3-4 episodes.
I would not have a big problem with the costumes and outdated CGI if the acting of the leads was good, but unfortunately both were miscast. These roles were just not meant for them.
Is it worth watching the rest? Does it get better somewhere down the line?
