Wow, this lady is a veteran. So impressive and memorable. Very characteristic face. I love her. Actress like Kim Seon Hwa are indispensable.. I wish they were given more recognition.

Another production I keep returning to relax and uplift my mood. We need more light hearted, warm and funny dramas like this. I couldn't stop laughing. Um Tae Goo is perfection -heaps of charm, talent and a voice to die for. All characters were marvellous to be honest ,including Han Sun Hwa .

What a fantastic actor! He is so natural in all his roles and believe me, he can 'shapeshift' and change the mood like a 'chameleon'. Pure talent combined with plenty of charm. Plus, his voice is to die for...so sultry and deep. I just wish he took on more projects. I understand that he is quite selective with his scripts, but as a devoted fan and a greedy watcher ,I would love to see him in many more productions. I can't get enough of him. He is so FINE!

Umm, Netflix happened, and AI-generated content happened.,I guess. I’m pretty sure they’re experimenting with it. I’m mourning the decline of K-dramas, but I also keep ranting about it like a madman. There are still some genuinely good dramas out there, but the majority feel like mass-produced slop. They don’t quite resemble proper K-dramas anymore. Something is missing-probably the essence, the soul…That's why I keep returning to older productions...The quality is different, even in the so called 'weaker' ones.

This is a very nice, warm slice-of-life series with a touch of romance that deserves a rating higher than 7.8. It’s worth at least 8.3, not only for the content but also for its re-watch value.

I love realistic slice-of-life dramas, not necessarily rom-coms. I’m also more interested in thrillers, horror, crime, supernatural, or mystery series than in strictly melodramas or love stories. Don’t get me wrong, I just mentioned that I’m not surprised that many people aren’t into 'cheating' tropes anymore. People are tired, I guess and I understand that. I have nothing against exploring all kinds of 'taboos,' but given my current state of mind, I tend to avoid such themes, and I’m not surprised that many others might do the same. I’m not a morality police. I just personally, don't like 'infidelity' dramas to be honest.
That said, I genuinely hope this drama is successful for the sake of the actors involved, and I look forward to seeing Seo Kang Jun in a completely different project after this one. Maybe, in the future , I will check this one out.

I swear, are they seriously using artificially generated content or changing writers in the middle? Why is the second half of almost every drama nowadays such a letdown?! They skip over the elements that initially endear viewers to the story and fill the latter part with nonsense. Something has definitely shifted, and I’m incredibly disappointed in many recent productions. I’ve been watching J-dramas and K-dramas since 2006-2007, and honestly, I feel like I’m mourning. Something is definitely missing. This drama could be 8.5 to if they had stuck to the premise of the show. The leads were fantastic.

I'm not surprised that people are fed up with 'cheating' tropes (myself included). Just look around everyone-we're surrounded by all kinds of filth and negativity. It's brutal out there, and many are losing hope in genuine, long-lasting connections or are afraid to put trust in anyone So, I don't hold it against anyone.I understand that humans are only humans but I also strongly belive that once you genuinely love someone you will not waver or look for another 'ride'.If you have doubts, just leave cause it will sooner or later erode the relationship. Given my current state of mind, I won't be watching this one, but I sincerely wish success for the actors, especially Seo Kang Jun. He is lovely and deserves the best.
I just wish they would create more dramas that explore different types of disabilities or focus on single parents ( that's pretty realistic ). Alternatively, if we want to return to the classic K-drama vibe, something like a 'forbidden love' story would be appreciated or some heavy slice-of life series dealing with mundane and simple joys. They could make it either melancholic or uplifting..or both. Many recent dramas feel uninspired, boring, and seem riddled with content that resembles AI-generated material... There are some proper gems ,of course...but still , I feel like something has shifted and I don't like that.

I personally don't have much faith in Krystal's acting. I am sorry Krystal's fans! It's not that she's outright bad, but she tends to lack charisma, and there's always something missing for me in her dramas. Seo In Guk has made some interesting choices recently, but unfortunately, they haven't worked to his benefit-his last two roles were like 'mehh'- felt flat and uninspiring. Overall, I don't see them together as like a convincing pairing. I hope I'm completely mistaken and they’ll prove me wrong! The premise interests me, unless the story falls back into clichés, becomes predictable, or is riddled with well-worn tropes.

I am afraid Netflix screwed up majority of Kdramas. There are some genuine gems, but a huge chunk of them feels like a mass produced slop infested with A.I generated content. Everything seems uninspired, soulless and frankly boring.

Not really. It is slight. Her ex-boyfriend tries to re-enter her life but fails miserably. But he is not intrusive and rather lovely character. FL doesn't entertain him much though.

I watched this drama a long time ago and decided to revisit it to refresh my memory. Oh, dear, oh dear-this drama is rather daring! I didn't realise that back then, which shows how dangerous youthful ignorance can be (we really need to be protected/safeguarded until we reach full brain development, lol). It explores many taboo topics. It didn’t help that the boy really looked around 16-17 years old, but at least it didn’t pretend to be something it’s not and maintained its realism. I still felt for all the characters involved, I felt for FL cause she was so desperate to break free, I could relate to her being slowly suffocated by the society's expectations ... however, the ML's mother was downright creepy! Couldn't stand her! Her gaze was so unsettling, especially the way she looked at her son-so possessive and incestuous, yuck. That made me feel like it was the most uncomfortable aspect of the drama, which is quite telling considering the inappropriate age gap between the leads. Nonetheless, I love 90s J-dramas-they're nostalgic yet thought-provoking. The OST was also very good.

The best boy Lee Do Hyun! I am excited to watch him again. So far, he never failed with his drama and film choices so my expectations are high. Wonderful actor. Also, I adore his face -it's so loveable but it has also some duality to it (can switch up quickly from sweet and friendly to poker,dangerous ,psycho vibe).

One of the best transitions (Idol to Actor) I have ever had a chance to observe and experience. I got a whiplash watching him, wow! He is simply outstanding in every role he gets ( pretty much chameleon). Very versatile artist, not afraid of a challenge... and a beautiful face.

I really have nothing against this actor. I rarely have anything against any actor to be fair, I tend not to judge too harshly. He is rather subtle and understated in his acting but it doesn't come across as lifeless or flat. I just assumed it's his style. Of course, he should definitely aspire to get more well-rounded ,challenge himself a bit more if he wishes. But if he chooses to stay around particular genres ,I will never dare to complain. Anyway...I find his features very pretty and delicate -he reminds me of Ahn Jae Hyun or Hwang Min Hyun somewhat. Charming boyish snow fairy or a prince. Overall, I absolutely enjoy watching him.

I wish this film had never ended. I long to stay there forever-it's so comforting, peaceful, and blissful. I just want to cry. It is so simple. Surrounded by nature, with just a right amount of solitude and kind-hearted people, the gentle passage of seasons, and delicious, healthy food. I've lost count of how many times I've watched this beautiful piece of cinematography, and I will cherish it forever. I hope to see more films like this in the future! I know there is quite a lot of art-house and slice of life Japanese films like this (I appreciate them greatly)...but this Korean remake really hit the spot! I love both, Japanese and Korean culture but sometimes I am more keen to experience Korean way of doing things and acting so ...I wish for more films like this from them.

It might be hard to believe, but I find myself returning to this drama from time to time. It offers me the right perspective when I start to lose myself and spiral out of control. Although the pacing feels somewhat slow, it’s actually quite well-balanced - the episodes are short, and the story flows smoothly. I love that everything is centred around food-it adds a warm, comforting touch. This series is filled with as much heartbreak as it is with warmth and heartfelt healing. By the end, I’m left with a bittersweet longing and a deep appreciation for a simple, ordinary life and familiar daily routines. Yes, it’s sad, but it’s also so incredibly lovable! The actors are just wonderful! Especially, subtle and understated Han Seo Kyu's acting made me tear up. I really do hope for more slice of life dramas like this-not necessarily about this topic but about slow, mundane reality of our lives. Would be lovely to see something cosy, unassuming ,revolving around simple joys .Nonetheless, Recipe for Farewell really seems like a piece of poetry.
