waiting for the day i ugly cry at the ending...
LOVE IT! friends to lovers has always been my favorite trope (and when said friends are played by kim tae ri and nam joo hyuk, you can't help but love it even more)! particularly, what this drama does SO well (that other youth dramas fail to do) is the gradual growth in maturity both characters experience coupled with its realism: from achieving ones dreams to struggling with hardship, i truly truly related with the raw sentiments expressed by the absolutely wonderful main cast. felt myself slogging through the first couple of episodes, but stuck with it and found myself watching one my favorite on screen couples of all time. but i've been putting off the heartbreak for a year now... one day i'll subject myself to the suffering that is the last two episodes...Was this review helpful to you?
EVERYTHING you could've ever asked for in one drama
if you're thinking of watching moving, just do it! the storyline and characterization is WONDERFUL. found myself rooting for all of the characters through every plotline, but i was particularly drawn to the ML's parents'. moving's receiving of the baeksang grand prize in TV is absolutely deserved; truly is one of my favorite kdramas and in general, tv shows of all time. Was this review helpful to you?
TRULY enthralling
no matter how hard i resist, every couple of months i always find myself returning back to this drama. i cannot express in words how much i adore it. not only was i sitting on the edge of my seat every episode as their romance blossomed, but i also took away about an invaluable lesson about prioritizing love vs. oneself. the progression of the storyline was FANTASTIC and so well executed. from the characterization to soundtrack to acting to plot, each and every individual who contributed to this drama absolutely killed it. the red sleeve is truly the greatest sageuk and one of the most well-written kdramas of all time! Was this review helpful to you?
oh to be young and in love...
absolutely lovely! enchanted with the main leads' dynamic. but frankly, it surprises me that this is currently the number one drama on MDL. despite the tragic loss of hearing of the father, i found this drama to be a bit idealistic at times... perhaps my taste leans towards gritty and depiction of raw emotion, but i would've loved to see greater depth in the father's love for the mother beyond simple infatuation. Was this review helpful to you?
failed to meet my expectations
dropped because there was ZERO substance and the female lead was just so unlikeable and unrelatable. so much potential that was unrealized in the premise of the show; to depict two people struggling with their marriage in a society that frowns upon divorce could've been incredibly powerful had it been executed properly. such a shame as i adore kim soo hyun, and have been meaning to enjoy a kim ji won drama. Was this review helpful to you?
