5 enough is one of my favorites and to me, there is no comparison between that and this one...other than widower…
I was sad to read that he passed away... I agree there are some slight similarities for sure, but imho, not much else.
I'm still dumbfounded that the leads in this show get such little screentime. Their relationship seems completely under-developed on camera and the majority of their interactions are taking place off camera and we just get to see the results.
It is really Miae's fault for reaching out to Kangsoo repeatedly, grabbing his hands and crying. And her stupidity…
Who knows what that man might do? Since he plans on tormenting Mi Ae for the rest of their lives, he might feel the same about Kang Su...who doesn't deserve it. None of this is Kang Su's fault.

Right now, I dont think he will say anything to his brothers. He will want to deal with this on his own. That might change if Tak tries to hurt Eagle brewery as part of his plan to ruin Kang Su.

You're right, I just mean that the writer has her on that path. You know that Tak was going to find out sooner or later, otherwise that storyline is stopped in its tracks. They just chose an "oh, give me a break" way for him to find out...😆
I think that Kang Su knows or atleast suspects that Mi Ae is his mom.
I'm wondering...is he agreeing to meet with Tak out of curiosity (even though he said he didn't want to know about his parents) and he wants it confirmed? Or, is he worried about Mi Ae and wants to see what Tak is going to do. We've seen that Kang Su is sympathetic towards Mi Ae.
My thoughts after watching ep 39: - Getting worried about Grandma coming to town... - I was cheering for the Chairman! I liked how Gwang Suk tried to get the brothers to go easy on the him. - Glad that Ok Bun sort of stood her ground with Heung Su and didn't go back into worship mode. - No words to describe how disgusting Tak is... - It looks like Mi Ae is on the road to redemption.
Overall an ok episode, naybe a little on the bland side, but better than last week's turmoil.
After ep 16 I think I’m getting the drift of this show. It’s to semi give a love story of whoever it is that…
I am on ep 14 and I'm struggling trying to figure out what this show wants to be. But I keep watching, hoping that in the next episode, things will fall into place.
I can't even decide what type of relationship the two leads have or want to have.
The character profile from before drama aired said that they would get into a war.
I think you are right with your last statement. I don't believe she will standby and do nothing if Tak tries to harm Kang Su. Even if it means she suffers in the process.
In an earlier comment, I replied that I couldn't really attribute very many positive character traits to Mi Ae, and I still feel that way...but if there is going to be an opportunity for her to redeem herself (even slightly), this would be a perfect one.

It's disappointing.
I don't get it...

I agree that Tak needs to go to prison.

I actually thought there was a revolving/turning door in earlier episodes. But I could be wrong.
