yeah, so many of the modern dramas end up being a business class. i want escapism!!!

YESSSSSS. right now I’m finishing this out of sheer stubbornness. there are only 4 episodes left, one drunken forgotten kiss, and he’s liked her since episode 10…
even if the leads get together, there are other plots they could play up more. ugh.

ngl, I feel robbed that there was no kiss in the last episode. they had a perfect setup for it at the military camp and at the academy.

the music score was phenomenal, it really elevated every scene!🎶

this is one of the few dramas I wish had more than 40 episodes. it is SO well done, the pacing is good, acting is phenomenal!

I think the original actor for wang rouhai was Zhang haowei, who is different from the guy they green-screened in. they probably just replaced him entirely because of the bad publicity of his scandal(which was dismissed in a court case)

it’s not AI, he was filmed on a green screen. that’s why he’s never quite looking at the right place and why the shadows are wrong on his whole body. but it totally looks awful!!

YES. it's so nice to see an independently strong couple, and I feel like the relationship is progressing logically and at good pace. Cheng Lei's small smiles and micro expressions are selling his character. After the monkey scare, when Bai Lu is holding his arm, his leg spasms and you can see his face tense minutely, which is such a great detail. And Bai Lu's acting makes me sooooo curious about her character's background. I purposefully didn't read the novel so I wouldn't know what was happening!
