So does Jo Kyung Ho have a supernatural power or something that can control people? But when he’s not in the…
Imo they built up the universe and story pretty well but the ending fell flat to me.
I think it is somewhat intentional to not provide logical explanations to many of the incidents but here's my take on the things you brought up:
Kyung Ho's main ability is being able to hypnotize/influence people which he 'developed' when he was locked in the dark room by his father. I am assuming this is what he meant by being able to 'control ants' since we never really see physical ants, just imaginary ones. The LSD candies, fire, audio tapes, video tapes and symbols are all devices that trigger and/or amplify his ability.
Like you said, remembering things after seeing the fire as in In Gwan's last scene doesn't really make sense universally so I'm guessing it is specific to his case and that the hypnosis works differently on different people.
Same for Hyung In; him starting to see things now doesn't really make sense but I think one possible explanation could be that he only recently started getting entangled with the cult (and the hypnotic devices) and he has gradually become affected (rather than being triggered instantly like other cases).
Did ko seung tak and oh soo jung start dating at the end?
Idk how much of it you've seen but it is hinted throughout that they like each other. Their grandpas also joke that they'll become in-laws. But neither of them make it clear till the end, just the playful banter you see in the earlier episodes. The final few mins of the last episode is seung tak getting jealous when the 4th year resident tries help to soo jung to get into his department.
Definitly there some heavy hitters on this list. I dropped Beyond Evil after watching 1/2 of the first episode…
You gotta! It was my first 10/10 in a long time. The writing, acting, OST, cinematography; everything is absolutely amazing. Hoping it wins most of the 7 Baeksangs it was nominated for.
