Main couple with double identities

This started of as not that fun to watch for me. I watched ot for Zhanglinghe and this was almost unbearable to watch at first. Maybe because I've watched far better shows in terms of quality that is why I notice all the small flaws and nitpick on them. But after ep 1 I was intrigued. The flow is kinda boring but the investigating scenes are quite interesting especially the fl because she's so smart and I really like that about her. Both main leads have double identities and I really like the gender bender or cross dressing as a boy element in this drama. The romance are a bit lacking to me because they usually focus on investigating crimes and etc but the few romantic scenes are so satisfying. I love how Zhanglinghe, as this is his debut role, delivered the role of Prince Qi perfectly. Although for me, his physique does not match the role as a heroic prince who won many battles, his acting skills we're not lacking at all. I love how genuine and kind he is as a lover but also very intense when it comes to showing his love. I like the part at first he was seen as the womanizing ml but turned out to be smart and cunning prince. Also worth mentioning are the sidecasts. I really love the 2nd couple, they are really fun to watch and had made this show less boring. I love how the drama ended with the team having a happy ending and off to a new adventure together. Overall, the first few moments of this drama is quite boring, the middle part is quite interesting and fun to watch and after that it became a little bit boring again to me.

Perfect Casting and Most Beautiful Costumes I've ever seen

I'd rate the casting and costumes as 10000/10! Truly a perfect casting, not one is miscast. The costumes are also so beautiful probably one of the most beautiful I've seen in movies and also the sets?. As for the story overall its a masterpiece, however as I was watching it, there are some parts I find boring. The action scenes are well choreographed and the directing of each scenes made it more intense and entertaining. While the story should've a clear ending for me, i didn't dislike the part that they gave a cliffhanger in hopes that it could have a season 2. Looking forward for it and I hope they will continue the story and with the same casts if possible.
The reason I watched this drama is for Zhang Linghe and now that i finished the drama I can say that he did fine, not spectacular but at least he did give justice to the role. Ester Yu is quite a surprise and she was one of the things I really enjoyed watching in this drama. This type of role is clearly different from her past roles and she nailed it!
Overall, I really enjoyed the drama and I hope they get a Season 2, w the same casts?

Cute and Enjoyable Modern Fantasy Romance Drama

I only watched it for Zhanglinghe and the story is cute. The sweet moments are the best part for me. I skipped some parts i don't find interesting especially because sports dramas are not really my cup of tea.The fl is cute not the annoying type which made me really enjoy the show. Zhanglinghe's character is very sweet and funny especially the part when he was first shocked by the fl and ended up mistakingly falling inlove. The school part of the story does not really interest me but it's quite fun. There are some things i really find annoying or hard to watch but maybe it's just me being overly critical to the show. The Osts are quite fine but and pacing is also fast. It's worth binge-watching if you ever want something that is sweet, fun and not stress-free plot.

Cdrama Recommendation for Kdrama Addicts!

This is my first cdrama of Zhanglinghe as the lead. I'm not even a cdrama lover but just got bored one day and ended up seeing a post about red flag male leads on tiktok. I saw the poster and strangely i feel drawn to it. Among all the dramas posted there, this is the one that i gave a shot. I said to myself let's just try 1 ep and see if its good. But after first ep i started downloading all remaining eps and binge watched it for 3 days. I got really invested in the story and the characters, especially the leads xue ning and xie wei. This is the first after a very long time that I've gotten so obsessed with a drama. Xie Wei for me really stood a lot! They say he's a red flag but after watching it, he's definitely a black flag. He's character is so intelligent and cunning that he always have plans for everything. Xue ning is also smart and they are perfect for each other. I also like Zhang Zhe from the way he looks at Xue Ning, its a very genuine and warm love. Xie Wei on the other hand looks at Xue Ning with a longing expression and sometimes a bit possesive but he also has his warm and caring side. I like the reverse harem theme of the show and i like that it didn't focus that much on it and mainly on the political aspects of the show. The show is definitely a must watch!

Emotional Youth Drama

So many dramas I've watched but few had really made me cry. It's a youth drama and personally i wouldn't have watched it if it weren't for Zhanglinghe. It just wasn't my type of genre of dramas. But then i fell into Zhanglinghe rabbit hole and decided to watch all of his dramas. I was hesitant to watch this because of some reviews I've seen that its boring and the ml is so stiff. But then i gave it a try and to my surprise I didn't find any of the things they were complaining about in the drama. The story is well paced for me but rather than a lively and enjoyable youth drama, i can say its more of an inspirational and emotional one that it made me reminisce my youth. It doesn't focus on romance but rather more on family issues which i can definitely relate to. It also tackles physical disability and the ml really portrayed well the emotional and mental struggles of having a disability. This is probably my first drama that made me really feel the feeling of someone having a disability but despite having it, their lives still must go on. Acting wise, all of the casts did their roles perfectly especially the leads and also the parents. Osts i didn't enjoy much but its fine and had such a nostalgic vibe into it. Overall I really love it and probably one of the few dramas that'll stick to my memory for a very long time.
