exactly! it's just plain stupid and so jarring how both tawan and ayla are treated and act like teens who need…
The ratings here and on IMDb are both in the mid 7s, and that's even with heavy skewing. Not sure what algorithm MDL uses, but on IMDb the ratings are obviously skewed even with their weighing since like 80% of the ratings for it are a 10 and it's obviously being botted to a higher rating. The ratings aren't organic at all. I think it's more telling that each week you see less and less clips of the show on IG and YT shorts. Other shows are taking their place since so many people are losing interest in the show and the clip creators are moving onto shows people have an interest in.
I love LO, and that's the only reason I keep watching it, but my rating isn't going to be high and I'll never watch this again or recommend it to anyone. I'd actually probably recommend to new LO fans to skip this tbh

I'm honestly completely convinced that they didn't care. They were under the assumption that they can throw out anything and spend as little money as possible on it as long as they attach LingOrm to it. This show feels like nothing but a cash grab to me. Sadly, it's working for them because since it is LingOrm, there's still a bunch of people watching when they would have dropped it if it were any other couple. Hopefully, they lost enough ratings to realize they need to actually invest into them for their next show
I really tried, but I can't deal with Rin's attitude. I made it a little over half way through ep 2 and I just can't any more.
They even commented on her attitude in the show "oh this is just how young people are," no, I know and work with people in their early 20s like Rin, and they aren't complete assholes like she is that think everything revolves around them and their every wish should be catered. The worst part is everyone in the show is f'ing catering to her and just enforcing her outlook. It's ridiculous
To me, her character isn't cute, funny or endearing. It's a complete trash character that I would actively avoid in any way possible IRL. It's truly shocking to me that this is rated so high
This might be the absolute worst example of the "noble idiocy" breakup I've ever seen in a drama ngl. It's so dumb how this all happened and the reason why is extremely half baked
First Ayla’s dad accepts their relation and suddenly since her health detoriation he doesnt accept it… what…
He never really fully accepted it, more was resigned to the fact that he couldn't control his daughter on that aspect, so it was more like "I can't stop you, so I'll try to be okay with it even though I'm against it"
But it isn't a very strong script lol. The whole father feud destroying the relationship feels pretty weak to me, especially after this episode where Tawan is willing to marry, then secretly divorce, Ayla just to get her kidney and the dad just selfishly agrees with it like it's not proof of how much Tawan cares for his daughter and his hatred of Tawan's dad is way more important to him
It was bad enough that her hair constantly changed colors in the early eps. Then they seemed to figure it out and it stayed the same color for quite a few episodes, with only maybe 1 or 2 scenes that I can remember between ep 4 and 12 where it changed. But now she's super sick and weak, constantly going to the hospital, and decided to dye her hair blonde blonde for a meeting, then back to the grayish blonde color that it normally is before the event???? Can we please keep hair colors at least somewhat consistent for her? It's like they had to reshoot when Orm was blonde, and also reshoot when Orm was brunette, but nobody thought about getting a wig that's the same color as Orm's hair during the bulk of the shooting and it's jarring af every time it happens
I feel like very often thai gl try to use men as the villains, and justifying things like the mom here because…
Yeah he didnt tell Lada so i can see your point, but he never tried to justify her behavior or gaslight lada into agreement with the mom. Most "good" parents are still siding with their spouse in gls and he didnt for the most part
I feel like very often thai gl try to use men as the villains, and justifying things like the mom here because…
I don't really agree with this. I feel like it's pretty split on which parent is the trash parent in GLs. One good example is TSoU, Lada's dad was awesome and her mother was the problem from start to finish, her dad didn't even take the moms side once that I can remember, and always fought for Lada when it came to the issues between them
Ep 11 was really really cute but the mom really did a 360...I did like the acceptance but, I feel like they always…
This one was actually worse than they normally are for me. We didn't even see the mom be remorseful or apologize at all. Just an immediate flip after Rey credited her for the award. It played off like Rey publicly apologizing to her mom fixed their relationship, when her mom is the one that was the issue
If they were going to redeem the mom, they should've made her less dislikable
Exactly this. Or AT LEAST give it more of a redemption arc. In 3 scenes with the mom, we went in order
1) Her being extremely satisfied with herself and smiling that she tanked Print's career 2) Her watching her husbands affair become public, even though she already knew 3) Her wholeheartedly accepting Print into the family
Like, what the f happened? She changed her entire demeanor as fast as you can flip a light switch. She was the main problem for 10.5 episodes, then immediately she's good. Way too jarring
was gonna watch it cuz linn/wanmai is all over my fyp but she is not z lead---
It's still a really good show, and she has a lot of screen time. Even though she and Praew are labelled support, they're realistically 2nd leads and are not quite half, but pretty close of the screen time
"Your mom is a complete bitch to you and tries to control your life, but she's actually the good guy, it's your father and grandfather that are the issue."
Why do shows always feel the need to justify trash parents behavior?!? It's so f'ing annoying. Yes, her dad is cheating on her mom and the grandfather hates her mom, and I'm not justifying the cheating, but is it really that shocking that they hate her when she's that much of a controlling bitch to everybody?

All your other points are very accurate and also my own, or very close to my own
