I absolutely loved this drama without a doubt but I think they spent too much time showing scenes from the film…
i get what you mean about wanting more of zhang zhun and zhen xin but the screen time of both couples is intentionally equal because the stories are supposed to mirror each other, and the back and forth of their stories is supposed to imitate the way zhang zhun/zhen xin's acting kind of merge with fangchi/gao zhun's characters, hence the title 'deep in the act'. zhang zhun and zhen xin are not the only main characters, all four of them are because even in the novel their screen time is split this way to emphasize parallels in their relationships
My accounts new and everything etc. but I saw some people criticizing Hengs acting and wonder what the problem…
idk I feel like bl fans are usually really harsh with newer actors who are clearly new to acting (Pooh, dunk, jj), so this isnāt really new ⦠I think hengs acting is decent and the only thing he really struggles with is the crying /heavy emotion scenes but heās going pretty good considering these only done a few projects so far.
I agree tho that a lot of the criticism is probably also because little Jane is such a y/n character in the first place and he tends to be wishy washy/annoying, which Iād imagine would be difficult to portray in a way that the audience immediately likes
the plot really ran up a wall in the last episode, but the actors did an amazing job and really sold the whole show to me despite its plot holes. i'm really happy daon got with seonghyeon at the end, though i think suhyeon x jaemin had a lot of untapped potential and would have been fire as well.
idk if this is probably an unpopular opinion but the show feels a bit slow and aimless at times? i enjoyed it in the beginning but the middle episodes were filled with fluff and lacked major conflict-- i don't think i could recall past a couple major plot points in the middle leading up to their relationship.... i think the pacing wouldnt be as glaring to me if the show itself was longer (and i feel like the decision to develop thee and peach's relationship thoroughly makes their official relationship scene more impactful, dont get me wrong) but we've just reached the honeymoon phase and have a bunch of outside conflicts to tidy up in 2 episodes. (+ the resolutions for the other ships as well).
hopefully the final episodes stick the landing, because this is one of the better series gmm put out in a while. pondphuwin embodied their roles really well in this series, williamest were a cute addition though i wish we saw them more, and perthsanta deserved a lot better than the characters and screentime that they got.
I just finished the drama the only thing I donāt understand is that why did Jaemin start his evil ark towards…
jaemins main problem is that his love devolved into obsession and delusion. though he liked daon from the very beginning, he was content on staying by his side until suhyeon entered the picture. when he realized that daon liked suhyeon, I think thatās when he really lost it, with the contract convincing suhyeon that daon didnāt like him and making him move abroad so that daon would only rely on him. when daon confessed to him, jaemin brushed him off and got angry because he thought daon said it to prevent him from dating suhyeon again, instead of actually meaning it. when daon finds out what jaemin did, he has a mental breakdown over frustration that daon still doesnāt love him, and at the end just tries to selfishly fulfill his delusion even though daon is scared of him. To him, he believed that because he loved daon first, he and daon belonged together and the only way left to fulfill that delusion was to kill the both of them.
